Sungod, or Sunstar as he prefers to be called in the USA, is the final boss and a major antagonist in the Game Boy game, Mega Man V. He is a powerful robot from the Stardroid era reprogrammed by Dr. Wily as a doomsday weapon with the purpose of killing Mega Man and a long dream of dominating the entire world.
Sunstar has blue armour with golden shoulder gauntlets and sun accents over his armour. His left arm carries a blaster which lets him shoot at an opponent. His special weapon is the Nova Weapon.
Biography[]
After his defeat inside the Wily Star, Wily activates Sunstar to defeat Mega Man. However, Sunstar attacks Wily, who retreats. He still fights against Mega Man anyway, stating that robots were created only to fight and that he plans to kill all those he deems as worthless.
After the battle, Mega Man, taking sympathy on his foe, asks if Sunstar wants to be taken back to Dr. Light's for repairs. Sunstar is surprised by this, asking why since he believes robots only exist to destroy. Mega Man states that he will only fight to save the world, which Sunstar thinks about. Sunstar then realizes that Mega Man was right after all. Sunstar then says that he shall soon die due to his core being damaged and tells him to go. Despite his reluctance, Mega Man does flee the Wily Star, and soon, Sunstar dies, taking the Wily Star down with him.
Trivia[]
- Sunstar is the only Stardroid to not be named after a planet. Terra does not count as his name can serve as an alternate name for the Earth. This is due to his status above the Stardroids much like the Sun's status above the planets.
