~ Super-Brain meeting the Rangers of Freedom for the first time. |
The Super-Brain is the main antagonist of The Rangers of Freedom series, and a minor antagonist of Mysta of the Moon. He is a megalomaniacal extraterrestrial seeking to conquer the planet, being the one behind Hitler's rise to power and the birth of the Third Reich. He is the archenemy of the Rangers of Freedom, before becoming an enemy of Mysta centuries later.
History[]
Rangers of Freedom[]
Nothing is known about Super-Brain's origins, other than he claims that he made Hitler the man he is, and Hitler takes direct orders from him. Meaning he the true leader of the Nazi Party and is responsible for all of their atrocities. The Super-Brain launches his attack on the Earth by using a device to brainwashes the masses into homicidal maniacs, ordering them to blow up factories, releasing every asylum patient that proceeds to kill people, and carrying out murders across the country with help from Fifth Columnists. This leads to the formation of the Rangers of Freedom, who are sent to the Super-Brain's fortress where he introduces them to his brainwashing machine. He tries to brainwash them and capture the president, while he makes Miss America his own queen.
The Rangers pretended to be brainwashed, who goes to warn the president. The Brain uses his machine to launch an attack with his slaughterous hordes to wreak havoc across the country, killing countless people in several cities such as Chicago, New York, and Philidelphia. It wasn't until the Rangers destroy his machine, freeing his horde of his mind control and leading to several Fifth Columnists to be arrested. His next plan is him ordering Hitler to begin his war, using a serum to make the Nazi troops invincible to damage and took over Washington DC and New York whilst killing several US soldiers and forced them to retreat. The Rangers put an end to his plot by taking the serum he concocted and fought off the Nazis. Super-Brain attempts to use a bomb to blow them to smithereens but used his psychic powers to save himself.
He would recruit the Mafia to his aid, with the help of Scarface, planning to wipe out the entire US military during the "War Games". First by attempting to poison all of them with their food, which ends up killing five hobos who ate it without knowing it's contaminated, then by replacing their blanks with real bullets so they'll be tricked into killing each other and finally using illusions and smoke to distract the soldiers while his men proceed to gun them down. This plan is again foiled thanks to the Rangers interference, and he faked his death yet again.
It seems that he would later abandon the Nazis in favor of joining forces with the Japanese, helping them in taking down America. The Super-Brain would construct an island, which is actually a war ship, which he intends to ambush the US Navy with and sink all of their ships so America would be defenseless to an attack. He has a man captured, tortured, and later attempted to kill when he was talking about the island he saw, all an attempt to keep him quiet. When he captures the Rangers, he subjects the female member, Ranger Girl, to endure hours of pain where she is forced to hold onto a rope holding the guillotine. If she let go, her teammates would be sliced in half, so he had to hold onto it for hours, growing exhausted. When they reach the island, it's revealed he enslaved all the Hawaiian women and keeps them in line under the threat of torture, subjecting one slave to the wheel where she is whipped just for speaking out. He forces the Rangers to move the valve where his ship is powered, then sends a fake S.O.S. signal where he then proceeds to blow up several ships with everyone inside.
One of the slaves, the one whom he subjected to torture, frees the heroes and helps liberated the slaves. Super-Brain orders his slaves to be killed, trying to blow up the boat they're taking so they won't escape. The Rangers blow up the island ship, but Brain escapes and fakes his death once more. Not much is known where he went off to, by it is assumed he went into hiding until the war ended.
Mysta of the Moon[]
It wasn't until centuries later, in Mysta's time, where he plans to rule the universe by destroying all transportation and communications. He has captured hundreds of victims and place them in prison cells, where they await their fate: He has dozens of people brainwashed via surgical experiments, involving their brains removed and are reduced to mindless "zombies" who obey his every command. He would create a bioweapon, a fungi like moss that kills people and reduce their inside into explosive gas, which he subjects an entire space station to this fate, killing everyone including a mother and her baby. Mysta finds out when she tries to touch their bodies, only for them to explode, and then she is attacked by Brain's minions. Brain has her sent to the operating table so he can use her brain for his own means.
But Mysta breaks free, and releases all the prisoners to fight back, prompting Super-Brain to flee before he is caught. Mysta starts using the Super-Brain's own bioweapon against him, reducing his body to a giant moss and killed him.
Personality[]
Super-Brain is a power-hungry, ruthless, and cruel being who only cares about ruling the cosmos above all else. He is cunning and prefers to work behind the shadows while his minions carry out his work, as he makes inventions to brainwash people or to murder masses. He is also sadistic, willing to use brutal methods of murder or subjecting others to torture, even admitting he'll enjoy the deaths or suffering of his hated foes such as the Rangers of Freedom. His one fear is that he despises fire, which he dubs "the friend of mankind", and is scared beyond belief when one of his minions tries to light a cigarette in front of him. It is unknown why he hates fire, and why he is so afraid of it, other than it might be his only weakness. He is also a coward who rarely if ever engages a physical confrontation, resorting to running away when things don't go as planned, and let his minions take care of things for him.
