“ | The world you and Scott live in is wicked and chaotic, it craves someone to bring order! Someone worthy. Like me! Not like your cowardly uncle... Give me the Hero Books, and I'll become the hero this world truly needs. | „ |
~ Super Scott in Battle of the Bridge. |
Scott Weller, also known as Super Scott, is the main antagonist of the 2023 South Korean-Chinese-Thai-Vietnamese computer-animated television series Hero Inside.
He is a superhero created by comic book artist Scott Weller, who vanished under mysterious circumstances, leaving behind 100 volumes of his comics scattered across San Francisco. While he started as a hero driven by noble intentions, his growing obsession with the concept of “justice” led him down a darker path, ultimately transforming him into a supervillain.
Appearance[]
Super Scott is a tall Caucasian man with dark brown hair styled in a long bob cut. He wears thick glasses, a white suit paired with a patterned dark green shirt, a purple cloth napkin tucked into his front pocket, and a gold watch on his left wrist.
Beneath his civilian attire, he dons a blue supersuit featuring white trunks and boots, gold accents, a flowing white cape, and the large gold letters “SC” emblazoned on his chest.
Personality[]
Super Scott is portrayed as an exceptionally powerful figure, both physically and mentally. However, he exhibits a condescending attitude, as seen when he psychoanalyzes Dirko’s motivations for using the Hero Books and openly calls him a disgrace. He is also highly manipulative, gifting Dirko several new Hero Books under the guise of generosity, only to later reveal that he used Dirko and the Comics Council as pawns in his grand scheme to “release the Hero Books to the entire world.”
Despite his intimidating demeanor, Super Scott shows a softer side in his care for his elderly Reader, Cynthia, and expresses admiration for Christa, commending her for “finding the right guy for the job.”
In Season 2, his true motives are explored further in the episode Battle on the Bridge. Super Scott reveals his desire to escape the confines of his comic and to impose “True Justice” on the world. This vision entails him ruling as a tyrant with absolute authority over who lives and who dies. A flashback sheds light on his ruthless ideology, showing that he is willing to abandon those he deems unworthy of saving, especially in scenarios where he believes not everyone can be rescued.
