Surtr is a major antagonist in Dragalia Lost and a member of the Sinister Dominion. He is an archdemon who was sealed within a copy of Michael. Unlike the other archdemons who are actively chaotic evil, Surtr comes of more as being a villain by proxy who seeks his own destruction.
Appearance[]
Fallen Angel Michael is a copy of Michael, meaning he looks a lot like him. the differences are that he has red hair and a red uniform.
Surtr appears as a big muscular demon with flaming hair and a pair of gauntlets. His face is entirely obscured by shadows except for two orange eyes made of fire.
Biography[]
Past[]
Long ago, Surtr was one of the five archdemons created from the flesh of Satan and was sent to cause mayhem and destruction. He was stopped with the other demons by Metatron and was sealed within a copy of the archangels, with his being Michael.
Release[]
Many years later, Fallen Angel Michael is set loose by Michael and Basileus. After which, he started wandering around Grastaea begging people to kill him. However the miasma pouring out of him causes those around him to give up on life and commit suicide.
Eventually, he is found by the apostles who fight and subdue him. While still in control, Fallen Angel Michael tells the party about Surtr being a demon who seeks his own destruction and how his miasma causes those around him to wish death upon themselves as well. From there, The apostles give their condolences to the Fallen Angel and strike him down to release Surtr so that they can strike him down as well.
Trivia[]
- While it seems that Surtr is speaking in gibberish, it is revealed that his text is actually encrypted by a simple substitution code, which reveals that he references Norse mythology multiple times, befitting of his name and that he threatens the party at times with his power.
