Suzanne Stone-Maretto is the main antagonist of the 1995 film To Die For. She is an ambitious wannabe media megastar. She puts her soulless tendencies to work, building her TV career by any means necessary. She is loosely based upon Pamela Smart, who masterminded the murder of her husband, carried out by her underage lover, in 1990.
She was portrayed by Nicole Kidman, who also portrayed Marisa Coulter in The Golden Compass, Evelyn Stoker in Stoker, Millicent Clyde in Paddington, and Gudrún in The Northman.

Biography[]
Suzanne is a ruthless, charismatic woman who uses her beauty to seduce the boys in high-school, including Larry Maretto. Larry is kind-hearted and wants to have a family with Suzanne and he married her after few years of dating. Meanwhile, Suzanne dreams of being a world-famous news anchor, believed Larry's business will help her financially to become news anchor but inserted as weather girl.
Larry's about his long-term plans to had children with Suzanne which means hoping that she will change but he is wrong, while Suzanne got a high school project called "Teens Speak Out," when she met a high school student Jimmy Emmett and seduced him to having affair. There Suzanne begun manipulated Jimmy that Larry was abusive (she comprised him and his best friend Russell Hines). Jimmy, Russell and their female classmate Lydia killed Larry at home to but seeing Larry's real personality caused Jimmy for his guilt. Before he was turned over for the police and confessed anything, after they were arrested, Lydia makes a deal with the police to exposed Suzanne with a tape recorded confession for participating in her husband's murder.
Suzanne is arrested for orchestrating Larry's murder, but manages to put all the blame on Jimmy and Russell; Jimmy is sentenced to life in prison and Russell to 20 years in prison, while Suzanne is released on bail and the prosecutors decide not to file charges on Suzanne, since there is no evidence that she ordered the hit on her husband. She gives a press conference in which she claims that Larry was an abusive drug addict, which enrages Larry's Mafia-connected father. Shortly afterward, Suzanne meets with a man she believes to be a film studio executive, but is in fact a Mafia hitman. He kills her offscreen and dumps her body in a frozen lake. In the final scene, Larry's sister Janice, who had always hated Suzanne, is seen ice skating on the lake under which Suzanne's frozen corpse is hidden - literally dancing on her grave.
