The Swamp Natives are a recurring group of villains from the famous Nickelodeon hit series SpongeBob SquarePants. They are a trio of hillbilly crocodiles, who live in a swamp and make illegal hot sauce. They first appeared in the episode "Swamp Mates".
In "Swamp Mates", Bubble Bass and Patrick went into a crusty old swamp cabin, in search of the former's recently stolen Wonder Whale toy. When they got there, they found a couple of crocodiles making hot sauce with chili peppers in a giant smoking old machine. Buford caught Bubble Bass and Patrick and threw them into the cabin, announcing to Cletus and Lither that he just caught those spies looking in at what they were doing. Cletus immediately suspected the worst of them and assumed they were trying to steal their illegal hot sauce. Bubble Bass assured them they were not trying to steal their hot sauce but then Patrick gave them a bad picture by downing an entire jug of hot sauce and breathing fire on them and their machine, burning their machine the smithereens. Bubble Bass used Patrick's head as a flamethrower to threaten the Swamp Natives to stay away from him, while he and Patrick escaped. The Swamp Natives chased after them.
The Swamp Natives used slingshots to fire hot peppers at Bubble Bass and Patrick as they escaped. Bubble Bass and Patrick lept aboard a log and swam away on it. Bubble Bass mocked them as they left but then the Swamp Natives came back, riding on a speedboat. Bubble Bass used Patrick's fire breath to burn the Natives and stop them in their tracks.
Later, Bubble Bass and Patrick were on the run from Hoodoo Guru, who had been revealed to be the thief of Bubble Bass's aforementioned Whale Woman action figure. To make matters worse, Buford discovered Bubble Bass and Patrick again and they, along with Hoodoo, started chasing them. Bubble Bass and Patrick tried to board their log, but one of the Swamp Natives fired a chili pepper at it, blowing it up and sinking it. Patrick floated in the water and had Bubble Bass use him as a raft. The Swamp Natives returned their speedboat, which had apparently been repaired and began chasing Bubble Bass and Patrick again. This time, with Hoodoo. After a while, The Swamp Natives and Hoodoo turned away in terror because they were approaching a waterfall, which Bubble Bass and Patrick fell off of. Bubble Bass and Patrick survived the fall, though Hoodoo and the Natives assumed they had died, which allowed for Bubble Bass and Patrick to escape without being further harassed.
The Swamp Natives returned for a cameo appearance in the episode "One Trick Sponge". Sandy stuck her head into an interdimensional portal and transported herself to the swamp dimension from the previously mentioned episode. She stuck her head right into the events of that episode and Patrick and Bubble Bass were seen on the log, swimming away from the Swamp Natives, as Patrick breathed fire on them.
In "Sir Urchin and Snail Fail", they are seen playing music onstage at the talent show.

Cletus - The leader of the group. He is a fat green crocodile with a chewed up straw hat, a purple vest, blue pants held up with a rope belt, and a piece of straw in his mouth.
Luther - A short blue crocodile with orange overalls and a straw hat.
Buford - A tall purple crocodile, who is good at finding Bubble Bass and Patrick. He wears a red hat and a patchy green pair of suspenders with a teal patch on it.
