The Black Hood's targeting Northsiders who do nothing but blame Southside for everything that's wrong with this town and we're sick of it! The Black Hood's doing our work for us, he's a hero.
~ Sweet Pea on Northsiders and the Black Hood.
Sweet Pea is a major antagonist turned anti-hero in the second season of Riverdale. He later becomes a supporting protagonist in the third season. He is a teenage member of the Southside Serpents and one of Jughead's new allies.
He was portrayed by Jordan Connor.
Sweet Pea is a wrathful and angry teenager who despises the Northsiders of Riverdale. He defends Jughead and keeps offering him to sit with he and the other serpents at Southside High at lunch to which he eventually agrees to. Sweet Pea begins to be more open about his hatred for Northsiders even saying that he views the Black Hood as a hero for his actions.
He later encounters Archie Andrews while the latter was spreading graffiti about the Red Circle over Southside territory angering Sweet Pea who pulled his knife on Archie to which the latter responded by pointing a gun at he and his fellow serpents. After fleeing the scene Sweet Pea told Sheriff Keller that a red haired teenager pulled a gun on he and his friends.
Later Sweet Pea and several other Southsiders go to Archie's house to confront him and a battle ensues between the serpents and the Riverdale Bulldogs. The Serpents presumably came out of the fight on top with Sweet Pea only exiting with a black eye.
In his next appearance Sweet Pea and the other serpents begin to put Jughead through the Southside Serpents' initiation trials and after passing the final trial Sweet Pea shakes hands with Jughead who is now a full serpent.
Later, after the mayor of Riverdale declares war on the Southside and launches drug raids on Southside High School, Sweet Pea is among those arrested, though he was presumably released later along with the others after the "Sugar Man" (the real distributor of drugs in the area), was identified and caught.
