Sylvanos, also known by his title of The Heart of the Forest, is one of the playable characters in Rivals of Aether. He's a rageful deity and heart of the Aetherian Forest with the goal of spreading said forest all across Aether.
He was released as DLC on March 7th, 2018.

"Sylvanos is the heart of the Aetherian Forest. A rageful deity, Sylvanos has only a single goal - to expand the forest over all of Aether. Unfortunately, the great Rock Wall traps the spirit as he patrols the forest's floor. Sylvanos leads the plant life in the forest looking for ways to expand his dominance."
Biography[]
Long ago, all of Aether was green and verdant, until the Age of Fire scorched the land, burning much of it to the ground; coupled with merchants using the forest's trees to build their ships, the forest could take no more, and the heart of the forest awoke with rage. An army was created, and the forest fought back against the flame and merchants, intent on defending itself.
However, as time went on, the forest became corrupted, causing it to attempt and spread everywhere it possibly could, including areas it wasn't meant to be, such as deserts and swamps. The people of the forest had no choice but to make a pact with those who lived beneath the surface, creating a massive wall that surrounds the entirety of the forest, protecting both those within, and those outside.
In the forest itself though, the heart still raged, creating an unsafe environment and forcing almost every living creature to escape into the treetops, lest they become the next victim of Sylvanos, Heart of the Forest.

Lovers of Aether[]
While the original version of Sylvanus is a vengeful deity filled with immense rage and aggression, his Lovers of Aether counterpart is the exact opposite, being incredibly relaxed, friendly, flamboyant, and obsessed with fitness. He constantly offers to help the player become fit throughout the game if the player chooses to speak to him, and will even approach the player directly if Etalus is chosen as a partner in computer class, as the latter spreads a rumor that the player wants to become fit. If the player chooses to go to the dance with Sylvanos, he'll reveal the only reason he became fit was so that he could get the player's attention.
Creatures of Aether[]
Sylvanos appears as a playable card in Creatures of Aether.
Personality[]
As more of a force of nature than an individual, Sylvanos' personality largely consists of its immense rage and vengefulness. It can't be reasoned with, and does nothing but attempt to spread the forest everywhere.
Powers and Abilities[]
With immense plant manipulation and shapeshifting abilities spanning the entirety of the Aetherian Forest, Sylvanos can easily create armies composed of simple foot soldiers to monstrous plants, while even Sylvanos' individual canine form possesses incredible power, ultimately leaving Aether no choice but to seal away the forest behind the massive Rock Wall, with the Wall Runners constantly patrolling said wall to ensure nothing gets in, or perhaps more importantly, get out.
