You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?

You destroyed an army of slaves. I am no slave. I've come a very long way to stop you.
~ Skynet as T-5000 to John Connor.

T-5000, also known as Alex, is the titular secondary antagonist of the 2015 sci-fi action film Terminator: Genisys, the series' 5th installment that set in its own timeline.

He was portrayed by Matt Smith, who previously portrayed Patrick Bateman in the West End musical adaptation of American Psycho, and will later portray Loxias Crown in the upcoming superhero film Morbius.

At a certain point, Skynet uploaded itself into a T-5000 Terminator, taking a physical form for the first time, and infiltrated John Connor's Tech-Com unit, leaving its core in Colorado as a decoy.

Alex then participated in Operation Chrono; after the control center in Colorado was destroyed, Alex attacked John Connor in the Time Displacement Chamber when Connor was seeing Kyle Reese off. While turning John Connor into a T-3000 Infiltrator, Alex revealed he was Skynet itself and easily killed the other Tech-Com resistance soldiers with little effort.

In 2017, when the Genisys Program started becoming whole, Alex's image was used as one of the holograms to represent Skynet itself in Cyberdyne Systems Headquarters. But Cyberdyne Systems was destroyed after the T-3000 gets killed in the explosion and destroys the whole building in the process.

However, it turns out that T-5000/Genisys still survived as a hologram.
