Lisa: Bart's in jail, our one credible witness just got sucker-shielded, Comic Book Guy is missing, and we're still no closer to solving the case.
Taika Waititi: So many twists and turns. What kind of murder mystery is this?
Kumiko: Stop talking, Taika Waititi!
Taika Waititi: That's it. I know who murdered the toy. But I just need one thing: An audience to watch me milk the big reveal.
~ Lisa discusses that Comic Book Guy is missing and still not resolving the case.

Taika David Cohen, better known as Taika Waititi, is the main antagonist of The Simpsons episode "Murder, She Boat."

He was voiced by his real-life counterpart, who also portrayed Antwan Hovachelik from Free Guy, Viago Heimburg in What We do in the Shadows, Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok, Adolf Hitler in Jojo Rabbit, IG-11 in The Mandalorian and Ratcatcher in The Suicide Squad.

Biography[]

Taika is on the pop culture cruise Pacific Princess Leia with a lot of residents of Springfield. Lisa spots him where Rev. Lovejoy is taking a photo of Helen Lovejoy with him. Lisa is a big fan of his movies and TV shows.

In the dining room on the first night, Lisa spots him again and tells him why he is eating alone. He then steals Homer's food from him. While Bart confronts Comic Book Guy, the lights are switched off to swap his box of Radioactive Man action figure with beheaded to send Bart to jail.

The next day, Taika offered to help Lisa to investigate the crime. Lisa and Taika interviewed Milhouse, Sideshow Mel, and Kumiko in the interrogation room and each had motive. When Rainier was going to reveal that Taika was a real criminal that he wore his night vision goggles in dark, Taika has knocked him out with a Captain America shield. Lisa goes after the criminal but lost in sight. Lisa sees Taika eating leftover food in the room hallway which Taika annoys her for not helping the case. Kumiko then screams and reveals that Comic Book Guy had gone missing.

The next morning in his room, Kumiko was annoyed by what he said was a mystery murder that. He has thing to do is gather up with the passengers. Outside, Taika meets up with the passengers claims that Comic Book Guy had his action figure.

Everyone decides to search for intact action figures in his cabin. He told them not to tear cabin parts and need warrants. Eventfully, Lenny found intact Comic Book Guy’s action figure hiding from the lunch trays. He just threw an action figure and broke it across the room due to his streaming show being cancelled after the tax purposes. Taika then is arrested and taken away by the cruise officer and screams over powerful friends in New Zealand.

Quotes[]

Milhouse: I hate Comic Book Guy and I hated that doll because it originally belonged to me. (Lisa gasps and Taika gasps)
Milhouse: I didn't destroy that action figure, but I sure had a motive. A clear motive.
Sideshow Mel: I don't know why you're interrogating me. I have no bone to grind with that comic book chap.
Lisa: Really? Even after Comic Book Guy led an online troll army to demand you be fired and replaced in this?
Announcer: From the producers of Mad Max comes a vision so dark, so violent and so wacky. Sideshow Mel.
Sideshow Mel: We'll kill them all, or my name isn't dick Dastardly.
Announcer: And Timothée Chalamet as Muttley. (wheezing laugh)
Sideshow Mel: Curse that funny-book fiend. He mobilized both the Hanna-Barbarians and the Wack-olytes against me in a devastating online petition. (Lisa gasps) [rumbling]
Taika Waititi: First of all, that looks so good, I'm surprised I didn't direct it. Did I? October was crazy.
Lisa: But Mel, would your bone-trembling anger lead you to destroy Comic Book Guy's most prized possession?
Sideshow Mel: It would! But it didn't. But it could! And if I did, I would lie about it to you now! But I'm not. But I would!
Kumiko: Why are you wasting your time with me? I love my greasy snowman husband and his tragic blooper of an action figure.
Lisa: We have security footage that says differently. (play and slow footage down)
Kumiko: It's true, I hated that injection-molded monstrosity. When I first met Comic Book Guy, I was his priceless collectible. But now, when we make love, my husband calls out the doll's serial number. I just want back my sweet comic book gaijin. [sobs]

~ Milhouse, Sideshow Mel, and Kumiko in the interrogation room with Lisa and Taika Waititi.

Taika Waititi: Lisa. Are you also up dusting for prints? That's what I call eating leftover food off people's room-service trays.
Lisa: I don't care! If one more horrible thing happens, I'm going to lose it. (Kumiko screams)
Kumiko: My sweet Comic Book Guy is gone.
Lisa: Of course he is. I mean... [shouts]

~ Taika Waititi annoys Lisa by not helping this case and then Kumiko screams that Comic Book Guy went missing.

Taika Waititi: You can't just tear my cabin apart! You need a warrant!
Chief Wiggum: No, we don't. We're in international waters.
Taika Waititi: We're in the middle of lake Springfield. I can see the Lard Lad statue from here.
Lenny: Here it is, Comic Book Guy's original doll unbroken.
Taika Waititi: Damn it. Yes, it's true, Lenny. I did it. I threw my New Zealand Radioactive Man across the room when I found out the streamer was shelving the second season of my series without airing it.
Sideshow Mel: For tax purposes?
Taika Waititi: Yes, for tax purposes. So, I hatched this plan because I needed the money to throw into my already enormous pile of money. (cruise officer handcuffs him) You haven't seen the last of me. I've got powerful friends in New Zealand. Hobbits, orcs, Lorde, ents, Melanie Lynskey, the "How Bizarre" guy. We are a powerful nation. [shrieks] Ow! Ow! (cruise officer taken him away)

~ Residents for Springfield searching and found intact the action figure and cruise officer arrest and take Taika Waititi away.
