Takane, also known as the Rokurokubi, is a minor antagonist in the 2021 Roblox story horror game, The Mimic, serving as a supporting antagonist in Jealousy's Book: Chapter I, and a minor antagonist in Chapter IV.
She is one of the residents of Yoki Town who was later revealed to be one of the worshippers of the Beast of Jealousy. Enzukai, in the Kiiroibara Cult.

Background[]
The majority of Takane's past life is currently unknown. At some point in her life, she would join the Kiiroibara Cult to worship Enzukai.

Jealousy's Book: Chapter I[]
She appears in Yoki Town, whereas Isamu will see her when he enters a minka. He is then forced to paint a kanji on a parchment, failing to do it right or running out of time will result in her killing the player by suffocating them with her ink breath. Isamu would complete the drawing, and Takane would let him leave without trying to attack him.
Jealousy's Book: Chapter III[]
She makes a minor cameo at the Uchiumi Residence where she was seen on a canva that was drawn by Senzai Uchiumi. Later after, Isamu finishes Shihyosha's trial and got out of hell, Takane along with most of the other Kiiroibara Cult members are seen standing on the top of a building in the destroyed city.
Jealousy's Book: Chapter IV[]
As Kyogi demanded for Isamu Uchiumi to be chased down and killed and with the promise of a blessing from Enzukai, Takane was one of many Kiiroibara Cult members to chase down Isamu. This ended in failure as Isamu manages to escape through an elevator. Although it was never seen in-game, lore writers confirmed that with Enzukai's death, Takane reverted back into a human but was stuck in her Yōkai form. As a result, her neck wasn't able to retract anymore and she would be forced to drag her head on the floor. She would die soon after, possibly due to starvation or other causes.
Appearance[]
Takane appears to be a woman with a extremely long white to green neck. Her head is white, with small, circular black eyebrows, a widened hollow mouth, and tiny, seemingly yellow eyes with black pupils. She has her hair styled up in a type of tsubushi shimada style. She is seen wearing a strawberry red kimono with a white floral pattern all over, along a black obi. Much like Rin, her kimono splits near her thighs, showing a white part of her skirt. She is seen sitting in a minka.
Oddly enough, her neck is white fades to green. Though, her shoulders and chest are the fair, common skin tone shared by many Japanese citizens.
Personality[]
Although we do not see much of Takane, it can be inferred she may be a perfectionist, due to her instantly killing the player if the kanji writing isn't good enough for her. She shows incredible loyalty to Enzukai, doing anything for them and even taking the effort to chasing down Isamu Uchiumi for a chance of Enzukai's blessing.

- The Kanji in her name (高嶺) means "mountain peak".
- Takane and Megumi Masashige are both based off the same Yōkai, this being the Rokurokobi.
- Takane and Kurayami are the only monsters in Jealousy's Book that use a jumpscare box.
- She is the only monster in the entire game to blink during her jumpscare.
- Jealousy's Book: Chapter I was the only chapter where she didn't appear in a sneak peek when she was intended to appear. In both Chapter III and IV, she showed up in sneak peeks as a drawing in Senzai's room, and Takane chasing Isamu in the mall respectively.
