Since when has the Cassette Man ever been a villain? Wikification (talk) 02:25, February 28, 2018 (UTC)

  • Definitely an anti-villain, as his goal is noble, but the fact that he has become consumed by revenge and is even willing to kill an innocent person to complete his goal is what ultimately makes him villainous. NerdWithAKeyboard (talk) 02:32, February 28, 2018 (UTC)
The only thing he wanted to kill was the animatronics. He may of manipulated the player but I don't think he wanted them dead. Wikification (talk) 02:40, February 28, 2018 (UTC)

Pretty sure the innocent man was Michael Afton. He knew what his father was getting down to; while Michael would be remorseful, he is far from "innocent" in my book. AustinDR (talk) 08:53, February 27, 2018 (UTC)

One thing that annoys me about this series is how much it's lore is made up of speculation by fans. It's alright to have it like that for a while, but the creator(s) should reveal more of it down the track instead of leaving people with little to go on all the time. Anyway, like I said before, He may of manipulated the player but I don't think he wanted them dead. He even aided the player in stopping the animatronics and warned them of their hostility. The player's character also agreed to follow a contact before the events of the game. Wikification (talk) 03:05, February 28, 2018 (UTC)
Michael Afton or not, The Cassette Man intended to let the player leave at the end of the game. However he believed that the Player's character wanted to stay. Wikification (talk) 03:16, February 28, 2018 (UTC)

Well, he is confirmed to be Henry: if you go into the files, you can see "HRY" basically confirming he is. But that is true: he reveals that there was a way out of the labyrinth, but sensed that he wanted to stay and burn with the animatronics. If anything, the only reason as to why I am trying to understand his validity was that he helped Afton with building the animatronics, but then, this being Afton, he inadvertently helps him in his killing spree. He is clearly remorseful, but he only wanted to burn the animatronics, free his daughter's soul, and get revenge on William. AustinDR (talk) 09:35, February 27, 2018 (UTC)

The HRY thing isn't a confirmation, it's a implication. It could still be proven or disproven. Only Scott has the real answer. Wikification (talk) 07:53, May 10, 2018 (UTC)
