I really think that this page should be deleted or switched for Dan* Imposter. There are MANY reason why Dan is NOT considered a villain.

# 1 - His anger and rash behavior is caused by his poor situation, NOT because he wants to be.
  +
  +
# 2 - He had SO many opportunities to kill all of his revenge enemies, but didn't:
  +
  +
* backstabbing Chris [Dan vs. Chris] - Chris was hanging from a ledge and about to die by Dan, but Dan pulled him up. ? Makes no sense if Dan was to be a villain.
  +
  +
* Killing all the Animals [Dan vs. The Animal Shelter] - Dan had a chance to kill all the animals in the Animal Shelter, but refused to.
  +
  +
* Killing the Wolf-man [Dan vs. The Wolf-man] - Dan had Chris on his side to be able to attack and kill the Wolf-man and no one was around, yet all Dan did was key the Wolf-man's car. Even when Chris angrily encouraged Dan to kill the Wolf-man and got mad at him for not killing him. Dan even specified that he wouldn't go as far as killing someone.
  +
  +
* The neighbors [Dan vs. The Neighbors] - Mr.. Mumbles was the one that put Chris in the wheel chair and it was on accident that the roaches got inside the apartment. Dan forgot about the TV dish and was casually talking with the neighbors, forgetting that the roaches where even there.
  +
  +
* Elise' parents [The Family Thanksgiving] - Mr. Mumbles was also the one that set the house on fire in that episode, after Dan calmed down and stopped his hell-bent revenge on Lilies' parents once they both cleared up a confusion between them.
  +
  +
* the crooked sheriff [Dan vs. The Wild West] - Dan had a chance in the showdown to shoot the sheriff in the heart, but rather shoot him in his "seafood process" (in between the legs).
  +
  +
* the dinosaur [Dan vs. The Dinosaur] - There was a more than giving time when Dan could have killed the Dinosaur by a bomb and Elise, Chris, and Ben were not against it in anyway. Dan would not have gotten introuble if he were to kill the Dinosaur in that situation, as well, as Elise got specific orders to kill the Dinosaur.
  +
  +
* the maniac [Dan vs. The Family camping Trip] - Dan could have let the Maniac kill or team up with the Maniac to kill Chris, Elise and the despised Else's parents, but chose to save them, instead.
  +
  +
* the lemonade stand kids [Dan vs. The Lemonade Stand Gang] - In this episode Dan and Elise could have over-powered Chris and gone after the kids and kill them or torture them however they pleased, but instead they listened to Chris, the big softy, and decided to get the kids in trouble on film and expose them to their parents.
  +
  +
* the wedding plane [Dan vs. The wedding] - Dan rents a plane to spell out his love for Hortence, but the passenger states that the plane is old. The plane malfunctions and ends up unintentionally crashing into the wedding from above.
  +
  +
* the mechanic [Dan vs. The Mechanic] - Dan had an opportunity in being able to damage the mechanic for good, but instead helped him in his robot wrestling.
  +
  +
* the demonic boss [Dan vs. The Boss] - Dan gave up a perfectly good chance in being able to team up with his demonic boss and backstab Chris all at the SAME TIME, without even getting in trouble for it AND getting a raise. Dan had a good position, being able to be iron-fisted and sound out his rage when ever he wanted, and he wouldn't have gotten arrested for it. Yet, he gave that up for Chris, becoming jobless, and back into his misfortunes ramshackle life.  - That right there, is NOT villain status? Giving up all that evil for a friend and miserly life. Nope, seriously, Dan can't be a villain.
  +
  +
*don't make me make a list, for everyone here, of all the episodes, you guys get the picture. * Dan vs Traffic - Dan had a chance to blow up the cars with fireworks, but decided to stop once chris told him not to. The bomb accidentally falls from his hands and sets off.
  +
  +
* Dan vs The Animal Shelter - Dan forgets that he has poisoned meat loaf on the counter as Chris silently eats it as Dan is caught up in explaining to Chris his plan against the Animal Shelter.
  +
  +
* Dan vs Chris - Dan losses his grip on his lucky hand grenade and it gets stuck in the Chris capturing machine, causing the machine to explode.
  +
  +
* Dan vs Burberphile - Dan starts a fight with Jeff and they both accidentally set the store on fire during their fight. Both of them unable to notice the buger joint on fire.
  +
  +
* The Family Thanksgiving - Mr. Mumbles sets the house on fire, not Dan.
  +
  +
* Dan vs The Neighbors - Dan forgets about his plans and cockroaches once he starts to warm up and like his neighbor, Jason.
  +
  +
* Dan vs The Wedding - Dan rents a poorly rundown plane that ends up malfunctioning and crashing into Hortenses wedding instead of spelling out Dan's "I love you" in the sky.
  +
  +
* Dan vs The Superhero - In this episode Dan is literally NOT villain material. Dan wasn't able to brilliantly terrorize Terrific Guy, but instead bored him. Dan's rubberband ball was easy to get rid of, Dan can't even properly mutate into a super villain, Dan has poor skill in being able to hold hostages in terror (he gave them cake), makes poor compromises with the police instead of asking for millions of dollar or a super weapon, and had a water-gun as a weapon against Terrific Guy's superhuman powers. Instead, Dan gets lucky and finds out Terrific Guy's weakness on TV and had the luck of the hot sauce to work. (Jumpyjoy (talk) 22:28, July 13, 2014 (UTC))

delete|The character of the series can't be it's own villain in the show. Either the other characters are villains or not. Besides most of Dan's rage is instigated because he has too many problematic misfortunes that cause his anger to become exploded, and have ill patience out of any normal person's reaction. Dan has no job, has poor living standards, buys expired turkey and food, lives way below the normal comfortable economical and social class, has too much collective stress that he can't expel by having options available to him to be able to relax, has limited transportation and chained freedom of movement (as Chris has to drive him a good amount in the show), is sour because he has a horrible life, is rude because he has no wife or girlfriend, has had a horrifying childhood: in which his parents never took care of him very well (the reason why Dan sometimes has poor morals or rash ways of dealing with things, but this becomes taught by Chris when the experience first comes), only one pair of clothes, all causing him to become abnormally build up by anger. It is clearly shown that Dan can become manipulative or war-pathed, but only uses it into deceiving extreme villains, like the demon Boss from "Dan vs. Boss", or by abusive characters when completely vulnerable, like the abusive camp director in "Dan vs. Summer Camp". On every episode he attacks someone, not because he decides that he wants to, but because they, at first, cause an instigation and reply with inconsideration and uncompromising towards Dan's current state or situation. Anyways, if Dan was a villain, wouldn't he want to join a demon Boss and rule the company with evil malicious tyranny, not leave her for Chris? And wouldn't he backstab Chris, he clearly had a very clear chance when Chris was hanging by a cliff in "Dan vs. Chris"?

I like Dan and all, but don't you think this has too many categories? It's unnecessary.

¢υяʟʏ вʀαcєⓍⒹ 03:43, December 12, 2012 (UTC)

I consider Dan to be a thug because he usually disrespects others, even his best friend. Also, I'm making an article about Dan's boss. What's her name? Garfield1601 (talk) 03:45, December 12, 2012 (UTC)

Just because Dan disrespects other character dose NOT make him an evil villian. Taking a small impacted reason or topic and exploding it as a huge evil villian trait is falsifying the accuracy of show, it's characters, and it's written literary usage. Most of the facts in the show point toward's Dan poor living standards all because he has NO job and had an AWFUL childhood. Besides in the interview (http://danvsshow.blogspot.com/)it was noted that Dan's traits are blow'n up to become satiracle and are exaggerations. Pure villianss have to have show pure evil, not agner just because you get annoyed. This is slandering a show's character by not reffreing towards his good traits or bad traits. Instead everyone is just blowing up one topic that doesn't even consitute as a respectable cause for Dan to  be noted as a proper villian. You have to take all of Dan's good qualities and bad qualities and judge between them. Not take somethinga nd exasergated it and fill it up as a rumor. That makes no sense, and it's cheating everyone else out of a good show if you continue falsifying it. Because of these false reasons, slandering, and blow'n up rumors, the show is on hiatus and is bairly only getting 10 views or less each day!

Plus, this article shows qualities of being completely bias, violating common wikia rights.(Jumpyjoy (talk) 15:41, July 13, 2014 (UTC))

CATEGORY ABUSE

this article is a clear violation of the category system and shows the desperation some people go to in trying to "show off" a character - it has the opposite effect and makes most sane people loath the article.. for example Dan is in every alignment.. that is not only false but impossible.. pick ONE alignment and that's that.. if he doesn't have one simply add "True Neutral" or "Amoral".. adding all the alignments just shows that you are not adding categories to benefit the article but simply to try and spread false information based purely on bias: we should begin to consider deleting articles that have such category abuse to show a Zero Tolerance to this behavior in the future Joecoolio (talk) 14:14, January 18, 2013 (UTC)

actually it's not as bad as it looks at first Joe, some characters will have large category trees because of the media they are in and you have to accept that - look at people like Joker or Darkseid, with so many stories they play many different (sometimes conflicting) roles.. the more obviously false categories tend to be removed with time, most users are here to contribute well - don't be too quick to call "troll" or you risk creating them.. Unseelie-Queen (talk) 00:14, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

This wiki is falsifying a character's bio and personality. This is against comon wiki rules.

The character of the seires can't be it's own villian in the show. Either the other characters are villians or not. Besides most of Dan's rage is instigated because he has too many problamatic mifortunes that cause his anger to become exploded and have ill patience is out of any normal person's reaction. Dan has no job, has poor living standards, buys expired turkey and food, lives way below the normal comfortable economical and social class, has too much colletive stress that he can't expel by having options availbale to him to be able to relax, has limited transportation and chained freedom of movement (as Chris has to drive him a good amount in the show), has had a horrifying childhood in which his parents never took care of him very well (the reason why Dan sometimes has poor morals or rash ways of dealing with things, but this becomes taught by Chris when the expierence first comes), only one pair of cloathes, all causing him to become abnormally build up by anger. It is clearly shown that Dan can become maipulative or war-pathed, but only uses it into deceiving extreme villians, like the demon Boss from "Dan vs Boss", or by abusive characters when completely vaulnurable, like the abusive camp director in "Dan vs Summer Camp". delete|The character of the series can't be it's own villain in the show. Chris"?

Notice of Incompatible Page and Wikia Existence
* Dan doesn't choose to be evil or become a villain on purpose.
* Dan's instigation are not driven purely by his own nefarious needs, only by his multiple and over coming short comings.
* Dan's evil character is not a pure evil character, as it is only driven and formed by his rage, and wouldn't be so if his situational condition was to become better: causing him to become less stressed enough to properly release his anger as in "Dan vs.".
* The show's main character can not be it's own villain in the show.
* Because of external reasons are the reasons towards Dan's turmoil, not internal and self-inflicting turmoil.
* For Dan to be a true villain, he can't be vulnerable enough to cause instigations. Then that person would be considered a victim.
* In most of the series, Dan is too vulnerable to cause random intentional destruction, he can't be a villain if someone else is causing him to become upset, repulsive or abnormally ill tempered.
* If Dan was a villain, he would have been abusive towards Mr. Mumbles more than obsessing over her with extreme amounts of care and affection (villains have to attack the ones they love the most, the highly vulnerable ones, multiple times to be considered unstable and villainous).
* Dan has alter superhero personalities like Batboy and Danman, a satire on Batman and Superman respectively. Villains don't have superhero personalities or allies.
* If he was a villain, Dan should have joined forces with all the other villains in the show at their most critical world-conquering moments, not destroy them.
* Dan could have killed the Wolf-man when Chris was heavily bent on killing him, but didn't and only stuck to minor annoying things, like keying the Wolf-man's car.
* Dan had an opportunity to blow up the Animal Shelter, kill the Wolf-man, kill Chris, backstab Chris for a demon apprentice position, but didn't and instead showed many examples of mercy (something a villain would never do).
* Dan's good qualities and bad qualities have to be judged truthfully instead of just focusing on his bad qualities. Doing this is falsely conveying an inaccurate image of the character.

Stronger Violations

- Bias of Opinion
* This wikia shows disregard to other user's edits as it has deleted the previous -deletion notice- placed upon this page, rather than conversing on the user talk page upon the accuracy of the existence of this wikia page.
* Opinions/ideas/discussions should be conversed onto the talk page, rather than displaying it into a wikia page.

- Slandering Material/Misleading Usage of Material
* This page shows heavy amounts of slandering and misleading information by taking one quality(whether accurate or inaccurate) and blowing it up into non-idealized dimensions, imaginary statures, and incorrect fictional proportions.
* This wikia contributes imaginary false representations, incorrect misleading rumors, false depictions, mis-information, slandering upon the character's actual cause and show's description, slandering by information and incorrectly using locations, references, status, etc. for this villain's wikia, the Dan vs. wikia, the "Dan vs." Show's actual production, and the "Dan vs." show.
* This wikia used inferred and assumed bits of information (still not put to a closure by the Show) as valid material in explaining/describing/portraying the characters and Show.
* This wikia page takes simple traits or actions that are exaggerated to intentionally weave and create misconceptions upon the character, Show, literary plots, character's bio, traits, qualities, etc. rather than sources and sourced interviews (being easily obtainable through research of the production and concepts of the show(#1- [1], #2- The Navigation page has sources: 2).

-Bias Material
* This page works on only focusing on one quality, rumor, piece of info rather than taking into consideration of other sources, information, reasons, as being the cause for certain actions, references, effects, satirical conditions, plot environment, situational environment, situational events,  information external or internal, etc. in the Show and upon the character.
* This wiki ignores other related and released traits and information: biasing, slandering and misleading information upon certain results shown and being obtained by the character(s) of the Show and in the Show's universe itself.
* This wikia shows strict provocation of a one bias, mono-point of view.
* This page enables a strict restriction to only one mono-point of view, directed towards one heavily rumored reason and only one instigated bias.
*There is no label to the extent of Dan's character even if the material is false.

  • Much of this wiki is slandering and bias on traits and information upon the character's actual standard description even from the Hatchery's, Film Roman, and Hub's webpage (Hatchery [3], Film Roman [4], The Hub [5].
    * This page falsely references and contorts summaries from episodes (StartzMedia Youtube Channel  [6]) and released information from reliable sources (Hatchery [7], Film Roman [8], The Hub [9]).
  • This wiki is falsifying a character's bio and inaccurately describing a character of a show. This page also ignores resources that contradicts these wikia materials. (Slandering).
  • This wiki is in correct violation of standard wikia rights as it shows a strong bias on the character "Dan". (Bias Material).
  • This page shows restriction towards edits other than the stated point of view on this page regardless of resources stating this material as other wise. (Bias of Opinion)
  • And so, Dan should NOT have a villains page. (Jumpyjoy (talk) 22:28, July 13, 2014 (UTC))
