If Drayton isn't a villain, then neither is Kieran[]
Antagonistic? Sure. Mean? A little bit. Villain, (by the assumption that Drayton is not one)? No. The only evil act he does is kick that kid out of the club and be mean to him because he snaps due to an insecurity of his, and Drayton is equally cruel to Kieran, bullying him during his weakest moment, and plotting his downfall. Keep in mind Drayton is 18 and Kieran is 14. Kieran tries to catch ogerpon and terapagos, sure, but pokemon are caught every day, often against their will, so what makes Kieran that different? Kieran is not a bad person at heart. His anger doesn't come out because he's sadistic, it comes out because he's been starving himself and not sleeping. He doesn't do it for the kick of it, and plenty of heroes have anger issues, what makes Kieran so different? His desire to get stronger at all costs doesn't make him 'evil' in the slightest, it makes him tragic. Just because he has this desire to beat the player doesn't make him evil, either. It makes him insecure. Every rival is filled with the desire to get one over the player. What makes Kieran so different? What makes him a villain that makes Drayton not one? Nothing.
Kieran does absolutely nothing reprehensible enough to constitute evil, going by the understanding that Drayton's actions do not make him a villain. If Kieran is a villain, so is Drayton, and if Drayton is not, then neither is Kieran, and vice versa.
In other words, if the Drayton article is to be deleted, then by that precedent, this one should be too, but if the Drayton article is not to be deleted, then this should stay. Kieran's reasoning for his villainous classification is due to the fact he kicked a kid out the club and was mean to him. Drayton plotted his dethroning and bullied Kieran in his weakest moment. Therefore, Drayton is a villain. If he is not, neither is Kieran.
If Drayton's page is to be removed, then so should this one.
- Drayton's page was deleted because his abuse of Kieran is more of justifiable than anything. Kieran didn't have anything truly justified to his abuse, both emotional, and of power, as the page lists, so I don't get this argument. Emperor Vintage (Talk) 11:29. 23, October 2024 (EST)
Kieran isn't a villain[]
He never breaks the law once, his 'evil' acts consist of being a bit of a jerk due to insecurities being the antagonist, taking a mask FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF FORCING THE PLAYER TO LET HIM HELP, and kicking ONE kid out of the league clubroom. None of these are against the law. Several other Indigo Disk characters that are jerks but have not broken the law have been removed from the wiki, yet Kieran has not. There seems to be a glaring double standard. Just because Kieran is antagonistic, doesn't make him a villain.
