Pure Evil[]
I know this has been touched upon, but I still feel like this is a debatable topic. To me, he has shown far too many indicators of being pure evil, and, except for the ending where he was crying and saw himself, indicating some possible, but very slim, sign of remorse, he still lost all sense of morality and empathy, becoming intoxicated in his own power. Light is not pure evil he shows remorse before his death and has On & Off Anti-Villainous Qualities
- Only anime showed remorse and a bit too far to be an anti-villain more just delusional. While we had debated his status more than once with me finding his speach near the end to be implying he still wanted to genuinely help I was the minority thus stayed under it. Didn't he start his relationship with misa due to selfish reasons involving personal gain (not money) but to use her to get power?
