Welp, that's what you get when your villain ends up being more than just a mindless predator.

With Tirac, he was introduced in the 1980s, an era known for its more dark animations. What sets Tirac apart from the villains from MLP: FiM, he was actually shown torturing ponies, and he actually threatened to have one character's head cut off. None of the villains from the current incarnation have ever threatened to do that. There's also the fact that in the end of the special, Tirac was actually killed by having a rainbow, of all things, rip him to shreds. He is then blown up to further the point home that he was dead. Well, Sombra's certainly considered the darkest of the FiM antagonists, the reason to why he was disqualified was because he was a flat character. In fact, he was hardly a character at all; he was more of a force of nature than anything. However, I do believe that had they had given the character more characterization, then maybe he would've been the only FiM villain that is considered a CM on that site. Again, we're not affiliated with TV Tropes, and we have our own definition as to what a complete monster is. While I do help contribute on TV Tropes, I don't agree with most of their decisions, but I also helped to label some complete monsters on that site that you may be familiar with on this site. Overall, I guess you can say that Sombra is Tirac's modern counterpart, and there's also the fact that he himself had a pretty gruesome death in his debut episode.robinsonbecky@bellsouth.net (talk) 04:04, April 17, 2014 (UTC)Robinsonbecky
