Delusional[]

How is Tai Lung delusional? -- TheSitcomLover 9:54pm, June 10, 2014 (UTC)

I think Tai Lung was more a case of megalomania, a delusion of power/grandeur. He also rejects Shifu's sincere apology (albeit with a little hesitation and possible remorse) in favour of the scroll, which he believed to be rightfully his. Besides, the creator's commentary also states that Tai Lung believed himself to be the hero of the story when he had clearly wrecked havoc on the valley, which had nothing to do with his sense of betrayal, so I think Tai Lung fits the bill for "delusional". -- Aesop's Feast (talk) 14:49, June 11, 2014 (UTC)

He's not COmplete monster HE is tragic[]

tai lung is tragic cuz he was before good guy and he become evil because he wanted to be dragon warrior and he's not very2x evil like drago and mandible

Presumed Deceased[]

The Wuxi Finger hold is a move that sends a mortal to the Spirit Realm, but does not actually kill them. Po used it on himself to take Kai to the Spirit Realm, but was easily able to return as a MORTAL. The reason Kai became a spirit upon entering was because he was actually killed, but Po and Tai Lung were simply transported there.

Kai was never killed (or at least was never mentioned to have been killed). Oogway simply banished him into the realm. Both Po and Kai were only able to leave the realm because of the chi they harnessed. And if that doesn't convince you, there's an interview where Yuh Nelson outright states it in a quote; "the question we kept getting after the first movie was 'Why is Po’s dad [Mr. Ping] a goose?' Everyone kept asking us that. (That and 'Is Tai Lung dead,' and yes, he’s dead!)"ShockwaveDude120 (talk) 08:14, December 14, 2018 (UTC) http://www.fantasy-magazine.com/new/new-nonfiction/feature-interview-jennifer-yuh-nelson-director-of-kung-fu-panda-2/

I think Tai Lung is game changer, because he has not any comedic traits. And also lord Shen from second part in category game changer, but he's even more laughably, that Tai Lung

Greedy[]

He becomes obssesed with wanting the Dragon Scroll so that he can have the position of being the dragon warrior, and him not getting it is why he became so vicious. He could count as part of the Greedy category for that, especialy since greed dosen't only have to involve money. Buissnessgamer26 (talk) 04:49, 26 March 2023 (UTC)

Unlock Please[]

Can someone please unlock this already? We've all pretty much seen it by now. Unless there's a perfectly good reason it was locked in the first place. Mugiwara1994 (talk) 13:22, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Redeemed[]

One thing I've seen on this page a lot is the topic of whether Tai Lung is redeemed or not. Well, according to the Redeemed page on this wiki, HE IS.

One of the conditions of being redeemed is Choosing honor before evil: An honorable villain decides that their own honor, or the honor of something or someone else, is more important than what they are doing and decide to abandon their evil actions. Tai Lung could have fought Po death again for a rematch and/or revenge after being freed from the Chameleon's cage, but instead he chose to bow to respect and honor Po, along with other masters. He then returned to the Spirit realm without a fight, but not before acknowledged Po as the Dragon Warrior. His total arc in KF1 is to admit he is the Dragon Warrior, so having him admit Po as the Dragon Warrior proves that he had a change of heart, and thus was redeemed.

I'll put the category back here. If anyone has any objection, I advise to take to talk page here and discuss it before making a final decision.
