Talvinder Gill is the overarching antagonist of the second season of the Canadian show Slasher. She is one of the counsellors at Camp Motega when it is a sleep away summer camp.
She is portrayed by Melinda Shankar.
Biography[]
Talvinder began working there after the protagonists, Peter, Dawn, Noah, Susan and Andi had been doing so for multiple years and became close friends. Talvinder causes trouble amongst the group by having sex with Peter as he is in a relationship with Andi and lying to Dawn by telling her that another counsellor that she has a crush on thinks she is fat and that he wants to date anorexic and skinny girls. Susan instantly takes a strong dislike to Talvinder, sensing that she is malicious and cruel and grows a grudge on her after she tells her friends about how Susan confronted her about this, turning them against her. She also takes advantage of Noah's crush on her to manipulate him into doing things for him.
Having had enough, the gang take Talvinder out into the woods to abandon her there over night, Peter however not knowing that that was the plan. Talvinder then threatens to tell other people secrets she knows about the group such as Susan bullying a girl into being anorexic at her high school and Dawn having sex with her own step father. She mocks Noah which results in him aggressively attempting to rape her, only to be stopped by Peter. Talvinder ends up running off and immediately tripping down a steep hill, hitting her head on a rock. The gang pick up her body believing her to be dead and try to dispose of it. Talvinder then wakes up and begs them to get her to a hospital.
Dawn, Andi and Noah refuse and say that they must kill her to prevent themselves getting into trouble. Susan begins to get afraid and runs away. Peter picks up Talvinder and attempts to help her only to be tackled by Noah and then drop her. Talvinder begs Peter to help her by saying she loves him which enrages Andi and causes her to pick up a rock and smash her head with it. Dawn then takes the rock and does the same. Finally she passes the rock to Noah who whacks her only for her to still be alive. He then finishes the job by whacking her again. Talvinder finally dies. The group hide her body in a cave and the group frames Owen Turnbull, another counsellor who was obsessed with Talvinder and he was arrested for the her disappearance.
Talvinder's death is the plot driver for the story which consists of the gang going back to Camp Motega multiple years later when it is owned by a community called We Are One who plan to expand the land in the area the gang hid Talvinder's body. They come back to the camp to get rid of her body before it is found, only to their surprise the body isn't there when they arrive.
