Tanzo Kubo is the main antagonist of the video game NEO: The World Ends With You. He is supposedly a Reaper in the new Reaper's game and right-hand man of Shiba. However, he is revealed to be an Angel who was sent to destroy Shinjuku as 'The Executor', being responsible for brainwashing Shiba and attempts to destroy Shinjuku.

Appearance

Kubo has an olive complexion, sideswept dark hair and brown eyes. He has a large nose and a small goatee. He wears a light grey jacket over a white v-neck shirt, textured dark grey pants, and black shoes with gold buckles. He seems to wear either a bracelet or wristwatch on his left wrist. Kubo often carries a light black clutch purse in his left hand as well.

Personality

Kubo acts slimy and extremely unpleasantly towards everyone, even other Reapers and is very well-disliked. He spends a lot of time taunting the Players. When he is revealed to be "The Executor" he is even more sadistic and despicable, he taunts Rindo, saying he was responsible for destruction thanks to him time-travelling.

Biography

Before the events of NEO: The World Ends With You, Kubo was sent by Hazuki Mikage to "cleanse" Shinjuku. He tricks the Reapers into causing an Inversion that destroys Shinjuku. When the Shinjuku reapers move to Shibuya.

He first appears on Week 1, Day 2 where he mocks Rindo and Fret for not understanding the mission. He reveals that they are actually dead but they don't realize it.

He is absent for a lot of Week 2. After erasing Shiba, Kubo reveals to be "The Executor" as the Soul Pelvis emerges from Rindo's pin which turns out to have caused by Rindo's time travelling. Rindo travels back time again to warn Shiba about Kubo's true intentions. Kubo destroys Rindo's pin so he cannot travel back time again as the Dissonance erased the other characters, before he is able to Kill Rindo he is exorcised by Mikage and is erased from existence and is wiped out from everyone's memories except Rindo.
