~ Target Mark’s most famous quote. |
Target Mark is a minor antagonist in the Image Comics series Invincible and its animated adaptation.
He is one of the Alternate Mark Graysons that started off as a hero, but became evil and conquered his Earth. He was later found by Angstrom Levy, and agreed to help him destroy the reputation of his world’s Invincible.
He is voiced by Steven Yeun, who also played all the other Alternate Mark Graysons, A. Traveler in The Twilight Zone, Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope and Danny Cho in Beef.
Appearance[]
His suit has a yellow mask with goggles. The suit is yellow down the middle, stopping at his waist in an upside-down triangle shape; it also bears black on the shoulders and black lines on his arms, blending into the yellow in somewhat of an M shape. The rest of his costume is black, but the arms are blue, aside from the yellow gloves and blue boots that start from his knees down. He has the Viltrumite symbol (from the Viltrum Empire) on both of his shoulders.
Personality[]
Target Mark is an arrogant and self-entitled warrior. He is shown to be far more aggressive and raucous than the other Invincibles, often shouting in an angry tone. Viewing himself so above others, he mocks them to the point of not being worthy of even being considered slaves in his empire.
Biography[]
Comics[]
Target Mark was once a superhero, but later joined his father and the Viltrum Empire, where he later became the Emperor. He was soon approached by Angstom Levy, and joined his team of other Invincibles. He went to the main Invincible’s world, and attacked London, where he fought Jackstaff twice. On the third day of the Invincible War, he was one of the eight surviving members, but was banished to the Wasteland Dimension by Angstrom Levy. He was later cannibalized by Sinister Mark.
Series[]
In the series, Target Mark was one of the 18th Invincible Variants brought together by Angstrom Levy. And when they were sent the main Invincible’s world, he attacked London, and defeated the superhero, British Knight, saying he wasn’t even good enough to be a slave in his empire. He later killed British Knight on the second day. On the third day of the Invincible War, he was one of the eight surviving members. They all arrived over the main Invincible’s house, waiting for Angstrom. When he arrived, Angstrom requested they bring him his Invincible, but they refused. They said they fulfilled their end of the bargain, and decided to torture him. But before they could, he banished Target Mark and the rest of the surviving members to the Wasteland Dimension.
