Team Oboro are minor antagonists of the Naruto manga and anime series. They are a team of Amegakure genin taking part in the Chunin Exams, but the team was failed by Team 7. After failing the Chunin Exams, Team Oboro decided to take revenge on Team 7 and help Aoi Rokushō.
Biography[]
Team Oboro first appears when Kabuto and Team 7 are trying to get to the tower, but Team Oboro uses a Genjutsu on them that causes the four to walk in circles to cause them to lose energy and make them give up, wasting time. While Team 7 and Kabuto were tired due to their Genjutsu, they began to fight against this illusion, Oboro attacked them only to discover that they were actually shadow clones in disguise to look tired. Team 7 and Kabuto then attacked and quickly defeated Oboro's team, causing them to lose their scrolls and fail the exam.
After failing the Chunin Exams, Team Oboro decided to take revenge on Team 7 due to their defeat. Some time later, Amegakure assigned Team Oboro along with Aoi Rokushō to help the Wagarashi family so that the said family won the Todoroki Shrine tournament against the Wasabi family in the land of tea. During the mission, Oboro was to hold Idate to prevent him from reaching the finish line, and the remaining team members such as Mubi and Kagiri began preparing to attack Team 7 in the swim ship. After their attack, Team Oboro began using water clones to distract Team 7 and then used the oil technique, successfully sinking the ship that Idate and Team 7 were in.
When the ship is on fire, team 7 and Idate decided to jump out of the ship and fall into the ocean because it was starting to get dangerous. Team Oboro went to fight Team 7 in a fight under the ocean where they held the advantage due to their massive use of their water clones until Naruto used his Rasengan on them. After Naruto used the Rasengan, it caused a huge vortex that sent Oboro's team into a ditch, causing them to be defeated by Team 7 again in a humiliating manner.
