Tempests are minor antagonists in the animated web series RWBY. They are creatures of Grimm that resemble Jellyfish that protect the Monstra.
Appearance
Tempests, not unlike Seers resemble Jellyfish with long red tentacles but are larger in size compared to Seers and have bigger heads with a spiked barb around their head and a dark bulbous head.
Story
Volume 8
Tempests are seen in the chapters Divide, Fault, Midnight, and War, creating the storms that surround the Monstra and protecting it.
Dark
Another Tempest is seen in Dark as May Marigold flies back towards Mantle she sees a Tempest grab an Atlesian ship in its tentacles and crush it.
