Tenkyu is a major antagonist in the action manga series Sakamoto Days, serving as the main antagonist of the JAA Jail Arc.
Appearance[]
Tenkyu is a man in his middle 20s with messy short blonde hair of muscular build. He typically wears a black eyepatch that covers his left eye. His right uncovered eye is a black color and his right eye under his eyepatch is revealed to have a distinct design. During the JAA Jail Arc, he was shirtless and barefeet, and only wore a black short and his eyepatch.
Personality[]
Althought initially a laidback, friendly, and playful young man, Tenkyu has no sense of morality and does anything to achieve his goals. Shin Asakura and Heisuke Mashimo initially did not think much of him but were immediately altered when Tenkyu tells them that he is on the search for Taro Sakamoto to kill him. When Shin attempted to convince Tenkyu that he is the fortune teller he is also searching for, Tenkyu is shown to be unfazed when he warned everyone that "misfortune" is about to come. It became clear that Tenkyu was a terrible person when he further reveals his plan to kill Sakamoto's wife and daughter, prompting Shin to abrutly strike Tenkyu with a punch in the face. Despite his laidback attitude, Tenkyu is shown many times to be very observant and clever. He questioned how Shin was able to figure the location of the one who controlled the laser who tried to kill them and quickly noticed Shin's weakness, that he was terrible at predicting random projectiles random than aimed ones. His brutal nature leads him to sadistically kill random people, as shown by his decision to kill a homeless man with the string of his bow for no particular reason.
Abilities[]
- Master Archer: Tenkyu is very skilled at using a bow, capable of employing many method to shoot objects and kill his targets. The precision are extremely deadly as his shots can blow up an entire torso within seconds of preparation. His creativity furthermore allows him to perform unusual ways to fire arrows, such as shooting at Heisuke with his feet from behind and enhance the power of an arrow he shoots by rolling the string of his bow around it. He can also use his bow's cord to cut almost anything, including people. He does so by either pulling back his cord just like when he fires an arrow, enough force to cut someone's head off or by detaching one end of the cord to use it as rope by swinging it around. He also had enough strength to literally shoot pure air as projectiles with his bow.
Equipments[]
- Bow: Tenkyu uses a dark metal bow that appears to be extremely durable. It can be used both as a melee, defense, and long-ranged weapon. Its string can sustain the blow of a blade and shoot any objects of fitting size as an arrow, such as a bullet or a metal rod. The rope also appears to be unusually long, capable of being swang at extensive ranges as shown it severed the pipes from meters away at the facility.
