Teodoro Rosón, also known as Teo, is one of the three overarching antagonists (alongside Nano García and Begoña Benavent) in the first story arc of the Netflix series Elite.
He is a powerful and dangerous businessman who goes to extreme lenghts to get what he wants, no matter the cost. Teo is Carla's father and Samuel and Nano's archenemy.
He was played by Rubén Martínez.
Personality[]
Teo appears to be a cold and ruthless man who is not afraid to sacrifice his family's welfare for his business. He has no qualms about manipulating Carla and using her relationship with Yeray to ensure that the winery business stays afloat. He is also an arrogant man that refuses to bow down to anyone, including his own family. He threatened Carla by claiming that her mother, Beatriz, would also be arrested if Carla revealed his secrets, as Beatriz's signature was on the incriminating documents. When Nano attempted to extort money from him, he refused to pay, even though the amount that Nano requested was easily affordable.
Teo is willing to go to great lengths to protect himself, even if it means paying off hitmen to injure/murder those who may reveal his culpability in Marina's murder.
It can be assumed that he might have had a softer side in his youth considering that Carla's mother chose to marry him for love, instead of marrying a wealthier man.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
When Nano García is attacked by some thugs, demanding larges sums of money he owed them, Marina directed him to an expensive collection of watches belonging to Teo, also Carla's father, who is affiliated with Ventura in the destruction of the San Esteban insitute. in order to have his debts settled. Inserting the alarm code, Nano enters the mansion while Teo is busy taking a shower. Nano manages to steal all of the watches, as well as a red one that contains incriminating evidence that implicates him and Ventura as frauds, and exits the place unnoticed. Teo becomes alarmed when he finds out that all of his watches have been stolen, including the red one. When Marina realizes this and convinces Nano to give it back, Nano has the idea to extort money from both Teo and Ventura through blackmail. Teo, however, refuses to pay anything even though the money they demanded was easily affordable and he risked the sensitive files on his watch being leaked to the press or police. After Polo murders Marina (albeit accidentally) and returns the watch to Carla, who returns it to her father, he parttakes with her daughter in covering up her ex-boyfriend's culpability in Marina's murder, resulting in Nano framed in his place.
Season 2[]
Teo and Carla continue covering for Polo, but Carla is worried that Christian might say a word to the police. When Christian leaves to do so, Carla texts her father, who tells her not to worry and enjoy her night. Teo then arranges for someone to hit Christian hard with a car to prevent him from disclosing the truth about Marina's murder. The plan succeeds and Christian is left seriously injured and hospitalized, then having him shipped off to Switzerland for further treatment there as a way to buy his silence. Later on, he tips off Carla about an audio Samuel recorded of her, implying her involvement in Polo's murder, then Polo relaying Samuel's accusations to him, prompting Teo to send two people to chase after Samuel into the woods to presumably him kill him. However, Samuel is revealed to be still alive and Guzmán, who now believes Nano is innocent, teams up with him making everyone believe he is dead in order to trap Carla into confessing Polo's crime. No longer able to burden the guilt anymore, Carla, who was concerned for Samuel's wellbeing, finally cracks and confesses that Polo really killed Marina and revealing her and Christian's involvement in covering it up, thus ensuring Polo's arrest. However, this accomplishment would be left in naught as Polo falsely denies having murdered Marina and Teo dismissing his daughter's own confession, so Polo is forced to be released, particularly on lack of evidence after Cayetana managed to retrieve the murder weapon from its original spot and hide it in her house. In effect to that, Polo suddenly returns to the school, to the shock of all present.
Season 3[]
After Polo is immediately sent home while released on bail and still under investigation, Carla is more than willing to confess the truth when the two are cited to the court to compare their versions, despite Polo's objections. However, Teo blackmails Carla into retracting her confession, fearing that the police might keep looking into his wineries's dirty dealings, which would lead to the arrest of her mother, whose signature is on the documents that implicate her, leaving them with nothing but their names. When Polo seems to be on the verge of confessing, Carla abruptly interrupts and, following her father's orders, announces that she had made up the allegations to get back at both her father and Polo, leaving him free of all charges and the culpability shifting back to Nano. Because of this, Polo returns to the school like if nothing happened. To make matters worse, Teo also bans Carla from seeing Samuel, threatening to hurt him if she refuses, causing Carla to act cold and distant towards him to protect him, as well as forcing her in an arranged relationship with Yeray, a student of Las Encinas who Carla defended years ago on social media because of his obesity, and is the family's only hope to invest on the wineries, even though Carla isn't actually interested in him and still harbors feelings for Samuel. Teo forces her to attend parties with Yeray and other boring things Carla doesn't even want to do. When Carla complains about this to her mother, she can only respond with silence, making Carla realize that she supported Teo's plan from the beginning, causing Carla to angrily storm out, ashamed at her parents's actions, and spiral out of control into drugs to escape the stresses of said relationship. Carla finally stands up to her father when she and Yeray meet with him to sign the winery contract, in which there has been a last minute change and that Carla is the sole owner of the wineries. Teo remarks that Carla is too young and doesn't understand the business. However, Carla makes it clear that he will no longer make any decisions for her, as she wants to live her life, be whoever she wants and date whoever she wants, leaving the door open for a possible future with Samuel. Fearing of losing his wealth, Teo reluctantly signs the contract. Finally free of her father's control, Carla approaches Samuel to try and rekindle their relationship, only to be interrupted when Polo suddenly arrives, to the surprise of his friends. After Polo dies, accidentally caused by Lu, they manage to disguise his death as a suicide, saving Lu from going to prison. After Polo's funeral, Carla leaves Valerio in charge of the wineries while she goes to study abroad, despite Teo's reluctance of accepting this.
