Tepegöz, also known as Tepegoz is a Cyclop/Ogre creature appears in Book of Dede Korkut. Serving as the main antagonist of some stories.

Appearance[]

Tepegöz appears as a giant, one-eyed and ugly humanoid creature.

Biography[]

One day an shepherd and a nymph haves a sexual intercourse with eachother and later nymph births Tepegöz and he gets adopted by Aruz Koca. While Tepegöz grows up, he bites off a neighborhood child's nose and ear and because of that Aruz Koca scolds him and drives him away from the village. After that, Tepegöz kills a random man and the khans of the Oghuz. Because of that people decide to banish him forever. Years later, Tepegöz growns up and becames more bigger and mor dangerous for anyone. A lot of person tries to defeat and kill him but in the end they all end up with gettin eated, getting injured or died.

One day, His half blood brother, Basat, who is half-lion and half-human, instead of using his strenghts, he thinks and he strike his eyes and successfully kills Tepegöz and cuts off his head with a magical sword.
