Terrence Suave is the overarching antagonist of the Henry Stickmin franchise.

He was the past leader of the Toppat Clan, a criminal organization known for world wide thefts. He was considered one of the worst leaders, as he launched useless raids for the thrill. This would later become his downfall, as Reginald Copperbottom would eventually overthrow him and become the new Toppat Leader.

Appearance

He is a regular stick figure, that wears a long black top hat. He is also seen holding a golden gun.

Biography

Backstory

Terrence Suave became the Toppat Leader after Sir Wilford IV (who lost his position for an unknown reason). While Wilford would go down in history as one of the greatest leaders, the exact opposite happened to Suave, who became hated among the Clan for launching pointless raids for the thrill. Eventually, a Toppat named Reginald Copperbottom had enough and overthrew Terrence, taking his hat and becoming the new Toppat Leader.

Infiltrating the Airship

Terrence's hat is constantly worn by Reginald throughout the game, and the same hat would later belong to Henry Stickmin in the Rapidly Promoted Executive ending. Terrence's portrait is also seen during the Pure-Blooded Thief ending.

Completing the Mission

Once again, Terrence's hat can be worn by Reginald or Henry, depending on the route. In some endings, a second portrait of Terrence can be seen.

Trivia

• Terrence Suave's name is a reference to the critically panned 2002 American adventure comedy film Master of Disguise, as confirmed by the developer.
• The top hat that Reginald wears on top of his original hat originally belonged to Terrence.
• He is possibly the reason why Reginald didn't trust Henry, as he was presumably afraid of him turning out to be just like Terrence due to not proving himself.
• Terrence would have been the main antagonist of a scrapped side-plot involving the backstory of Ellie Rose. He, somewhere between the events of Stealing the Diamond and Infiltrating the Airship, would be overthrown by Ellie, Reginald and Reginald's future Right Hand Man. Ellie would make a sacrifice by throwing herself and Terrence into a escape pod, which would later be launched and land in Canada. Reginald would refuse to save Ellie, and shortly afterwards, some guards would see Ellie and take her into the prison complex known as The Wall, explaining the reason for her imprisonment in Fleeing the Complex. This is no longer considered canon.
