Police Lt. Terry Malone is the main antagonist of the 2019 police action film Black and Blue. Malone is a dirty cop and a murderer in the New Orleans police, in tending on setting up Officer Alicia West for his crimes.
He was portrayed by Frank Grillo.
Biography[]
Malone joins two narcotics detectives, Smitty and Deacon Brown, to meet an informant codenamed Zero during a drug deal. When the operation goes awry, Malone and his accomplices shoot and execute Zero and the dealers, then try to shoot Officer West, a returning army veteran, when she appears and is wearing a body camera that records the footage. Her vest protects her, and she escapes. She has to escape numerous cops working as accomplices, including Kevin Jennings, Officer West's assigned partner. An old friend and store owner, Milo Jackson, hides Officer West while's protecting herself from the police gangs, and from a hit out on her by Darius Tureau, a drug lord and Zero's uncle who bought Malone's frameup. Officer West goes to Tureau to present the bodycam footage, which his tech expert confirms. Malone and his crew raid the warehouse, with several people dying in the shootout, consisting of Smitty, Brown, Tureau, and Tureau's men. Officer West escapes, but Malone catches her at a residential block, and they get into fisticuffs. SWAT arrives, suspecting Officer West is responsible. However, Milo used Officer West's uniform and cruiser to get to the police station and upload the bodycam footage onto the department's mainframe. Once the captain sees it, SWAT is ordered to stand down. Malone tries to shoot and kill officer West, but Jennings shoots his leg. Malone is arrested, and Officer West is respected by her colleagues and the community she patrols.
