Personality[]
Tessa can be described as a dangerous, dark, cunning, controlling, obsessive and narcissistic person who is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants, even if this requires killing people who stand in her way. Her hatred for Julia was spawned from her father's betrayal towards her mother and seems to show no remorse for her actions, intending to make Julia feel what it's like to lose a loved one.
Biography[]
Background[]
When Tessa was 16 years old at the time, her father left her mother for her secretary and moved in with her, which caused Tessa to become destabilized and develop obsessive, negative, and even occasional violent, dangerous and destructive behaviors. As payback for her father's betrayal, Tessa set his house on fire in an attempt to kill him, but luckily, no one was hurt. And to make matters worse, Tessa's father did not press charges against her and her mother declined the psychiatric care and family therapy recommendation. As a result, Tessa's dark behavior still remained within her, even after she met and married David Connover and they had their first daughter Lily.
Trivia[]
- Tessa's parents are responsible for the events of the film, as they did nothing to stop her behavior and her father's betrayal of leaving her mother for his secretary is a clear explanation of why she has become such an evil and murderous person that it incited Tessa to set off the film's plot in the first place.
