Tevesh Szat, the Doom of Fools, was a human turned draconic Planeswalker and secondary antagonist of Magic: the Gathering. Born as Tev Loneglade on the Plane of Dominaria, Tev originally preferred to avoid the affairs and conflicts of others. But, after his sister Tymolin was killed, he was corrupted and wished to bring silence to the Multiverse. His exploits caused problems on numerous continents and even the entirety of Dominaria until his demise at the hands of Urza.
Biography[]
Sarpadia[]
Tev Loneglade lived on Sarpadia with his sister Tymolin around the time of the Brothers' War, a massive war in which two brothers, Urza and Mishra, fought each other over powerful artifacts. During this time, Tymolin looked after Tev because she was an accomplished fighter. Things changed when Tev's Planeswalker spark ignited. Now that Tev had immense power, he used it to help his sister by granting her eternal youth. Through their travels across Dominaria, events occurred which weighed on Tev's conscience. Once they returned home, Tev would become a recluse. Because he was unable to change people's minds, he grew to hate every living being except for his sister. Tymolin however, was living a fulfilling life. She was in a relationship with a dwarf named Kaylen (even though she cheated on him with a priest) and was prominent with dwarven politics. Once Kaylen was killed by an orc during a raid, Tev came to save her from this threat.
Tev rescued his sister after she was banished from the dwarven kingdom while Tymolin pleaded with him to help stop the orcs and goblins and to help the kingdom. Tev continued his neutral stance wanting things to continue on as they were planned to be, though in truth his hatred of others because of his isolation was to blame for his callousness.
Transformation into Tevesh Szat[]
Near the Havenwood-Icatia border, Oliver Farrel(the priest that Tymolin cheated on Kaylen with) and his followers attacked the Loneglade siblings. After avoiding being blown up, the two managed to kill Siana, Farrel's champion, and the group retreated and the siblings were separated. Angry that they were attacked in the way they were, Tev's appearance was warped from an old man to a demonic or draconic visage. In one of his last acts of humanity (or more of fairness), when he witnessed a elf scout surrounded by a druid and four Thallids(animated fungi), Tev murdered the Thallids to even the odds.
Tev was horrified to discover Tymolin was captured by the Order of the Ebon Hand. Though she killed two of the members, she was subdued with a sleeping potion. The cult planned to use Tymolin to trap Farrel, but the plan backfired when Farrel killed Tymolin. Sensing his sister's demise, Tev's transformation was now complete. Losing all of his humanity, he went to the Order's base and killed everyone present. Now calling himself Tevesh Szat, he wished to bring silence to the Plane. Using the orc and goblin army, he used a Planar Bridge to send them to specific locations which resulted in the demise of numerous empires.
Ice age and the Nine Titans[]

Szat continued his planarwide rampage even into the Ice Age, an event that trapped Dominaria into an Ice Age and essentially locked the plane from the rest of the Multiverse. During this time, he manipulated a duel between the Planeswalker Freyalise and Jason Carthalion to destroy the city of Storgard and he formed a temporary alliance with the Planeswalker Leshrac and the necromancer Lim-Dûl to destroy Kjeldor. Szat fought Freyalise at the Summit of the Null Moon and planned on making the Ice Age even worse. He was thwarted by Jaeuhl Carthalion and fled to Shandalar to cause more destruction. He was stopped there by Kenan Sahrmal.
After his defeat, he retreated to a plane of eternal darkness to live in solitude. His peace was interrupted by the Planeswalker Urza who wished to recruit him to join the Nine Titans, a group of nine Planeswalkers working together to defeat the Phyrexians, a group of inorganic monsters bent on corrupting the Multiverse. Tevesh Szat worked with the Phyrexians in the past and knew the layout of Phyrexia so it seemed inviting him made sense. Szat accepted but had plans to betray the group and cause more problems. Before he left for Phyrexia, he convinced the dragon Darigaaz to liberate the other Primeval Dragons which led to more chaos and destruction. On Phyrexia, he murdered his teammates Daria and Kristina of the Woods. Urza revealed that he had expected Szat's betrayal and his presence served a second purpose. Without a second thought, Tevesh Szat's soul was absorbed into spell bombs which both caused destruction to much of Phyrexia and killed Szat in the process.
