Thaddeus Killgrave is a minor antagonist in Season 1 of the CW television series Superman and Lois. He is a mad scientist and an old enemy of Superman who works with Intergang to defeat him.
Thaddeus possesses genius-level intellect and grave patience as he was able to plan and enact a prison break over a long period of time. He is also a psychopath with little to no regard for human life; believing society to be spoiled. He hates Superman, possibly because of his powers and goodwill.
History[]
Backstory[]
At some point in his life, Thaddeus Killgrave became an associate of the criminal organization, known as Intergang, presumably producing and arming them with high-tech weaponry. In Metropolis, Killgrave fought Superman but was defeated and sent to the Metropolis Penitentiary. In the course of years, he spent his time observing Superman's actions and preparing himself to escape and enact a plan to finally defeat the Kryptonian.
Revenge against Superman and Defeat[]
In 2021, Thaddeus was transferred out of Metropolis Penitentiary. During transit, he used a synthetic polymer resin made from the sink of his prison cell to blow the transfer door open and escape while Intergang simultaneously attacked the transfer. After escaping, Killgrave and his associates managed to lure Superman to Glenmorgan Square, Metropolis, so that he could finally have his revenge. Killgrave attacked Superman with a powerful sonic blaster. However, Superman was alerted by an ELT belonging to Jonathan Kent, causing him to clap his hands and send a powerful shockwave to Thaddeus. The shockwave destroyed the blaster and knocked the criminals unconscious. After Superman flew away, Killgrave was arrested by the Metropolis Police Department and sent back to prison.

Thaddeus Killgrave is the second character Brendan Fletcher has played in a live-action Superman series; he previously portrayed Rudy Jones/Parasite in season 8 of Smallville.
