During the Raccoon City outbreak, he was tasked to exterminate the UBCS team and later hunting down the survivors.
Biography[]
Background[]
Greg created Thanatos using research and combat data on the T-103 model. However, he wanted a Tyrant that is very effective for killing and preferred the physical size of the prototype T-002 combat model instead.

However, Peter discovered what Greg planning with the vaccine and now refuses to continue further researching with him, and the T-Blood from Thanatos was rendered useless.
Thanatos killed one of the last UBCS mercenaries.
One hour later, the Umbrella Corporation sent out an UBCS team as part of "Operation: Emperor's Mushroom", their objective is to enter inside the Raccoon University to retrieve Thanatos, or retrieve the remains if the creature was too strong to contain and have to kill it. Greg, already aware of Umbrella's intent, released his creation by giving the Tyrant a direct order of wiping the entire UBCS team outside the building. Sometime, Thanatos encounters the team and attack them in the back square. Nicholai Ginovaef, a UBCS sergeant, observing the scene on the second floor of the building and notice Thanatos was too much for the team to handle and collecting the desired T-Blood from behind, led it on a homicidal rampage, slaughtering all four members of the UBCS team and then carried off one of the bodies from the deceased mercenaries to Greg for his researching proposes.
Thanatos mutated into his Super Tyrant form.
Inside the University, Thanatos hunts down a group of refugees and the survivors managed to temporarily knock Thanatos out with an electric shock, taking the pod with T-Blood with them. Moments later, Greg was assassinated by Nicholai and activated the C-4 charges he spent time in hiding setting up, Thanatos got back up and tried to kill the survivors again but failed as they escape outside the University building. Shortly afterward, the C-4 went off, destroying a section of the university building and bringing down the celling down around Thanatos, causing him to lose one of his arm and this severe injury caused him to mutate into his Super Tyrant form.
Death[]
Thanatos was killed by a Ampule Shooter inserted with Daylight.
Thanatos soon continues his hunt with the survivors outside the university and cut them off as they were heading to the rescue helicopter, but the survivors defeated him and quickly rushes to the helicopter. Still, Thanatos quickly recovers and resumed his chase at full strength and intercepted the survivors for the final time at the front square. The survivors either using firearms to finish him, or inserting a sample of the Daylight antigen and shooting into Thanatos, ultimately ending the dangerous Tyrant for good.
