The Asset is the secondary antagonist of the 2016 film Jason Bourne, the fifth installment of the Bourne series. He is portrayed by Vincent Cassel.

Biography

Sometime before the events of the movie, he assassinated Jason's father via car bomb under orders from CIA director Robert Dewey. During a chase in Greece, the Asset kills Parsons and later tracks Bourne in London, intending to kill both him and Malcolm Smith, a former Treadstone surveillance operative. Later at a convention in Las Vegas, the Asset is ordered to take out Aaron Kalloor, but Bourne stops the assassination. After Heather kills Dewey, Bourne chases down the Asset and eventually corners him in a sewer, where he kills him in a brutal hand-to-hand fight by breaking his neck.
