The Bacteria, also known as The Lifeform and Lifeform Fellow are the secondary antagonist of Backrooms franchise. They are sub-species of The Lifeforms who are hunt people in The Backrooms.

The Bacteria are appears identical to each other. They are tall and large black humanoid with its stick figure like body.

Origin[]
The origins of The Bacteria are unknown, A strain of hay bacillus could have entered through the Threshold, or they are could be a result from people falling into the Backrooms and dying there.
1990[]
1991[]
on July 4, 1991, Kane Pixels & his friends were filming for a school project, and would record a wider action for the day, but as he backed up he mistakenly noclipped into the backrooms. Confused, he began exploring the labyrinth, searching for an exit. As he ventures, he hears something behind him, when he looks behind, he sees a glimpse of a silhouette quickly retreat from his sight. Going further into the rooms, he comes across written arrows on the wall which lead to a collection of crude drawings, hand prints, and writing on a wall: With an illustration of a window, a human(?) face, tallies, something unintelligible about god, and large text saying "DONT MOVE STAY STILL." As Kane read the text he is interrupted by the Bacteria that was stalking him. The Bacteria and Kane get into a chase across the corridors, with Kane running back to where he noclipped. Finding only a dead end with a hole in the floor, Kane had no choice but to fall in to evade the Bacteria. In an office industrial-esque location, Kane finds an exit door that leads back to the previous monochromatic yellow halls of Backrooms. He later re-encounters the Bacteria who threw a chair across the hall. Kane hides in a slim room in the wall and sees the Bacteria which looks like a metal amalgamation of wires making crackling noises as it moves. The Bacteria then caught Kane and killed him, knocking off his camera noclipped back into the real world and fell into someone's backyard from the sky.
1995[]
On 19/8/1995, a teenage girl narrates about how she found a strange "hole" in her garage with the borders duck taped. She demonstrates this by throwing various objects into the "hole". She then uses a tape measure to discover how deep the hole goes, but when she does, her camera shakes and she noclips into The Backrooms. While wandering the halls of the labyrinth like place, Backrooms, she comes across a car crashed into a wall next to a room that appears to be the inside of a home. Going into the house with night vision on, she comes across a room filled with black thick vines everywhere, what catches her attention is a painting. While she was observing the painting, a Bacteria wakes up and chases the girl down. She goes into a hole leading to a pool-themed environment. Running further away from the Bacteria, she makes it to a dead end. She hides in a small tight room from the Bacteria, but when she was staying quiet, the room suddenly starts to shift and suddenly a green light lights up the whole room and glowing cracks start to form on the walls. Then the footage ends with possibly the girl dying.
