The Beast was a catastrophically powerful Ork and a major antagonist in Warhammer 40k, being the main antagonist of The War of The Beast. Potentially the most powerful Ork of all time, what once started off as a Warboss would over the ages become so great that it would ultimately lead to the largest and most dangerous WAAAGH! in galactic history. As Orks grow stronger the more they fight, The Beast achieved power and notoriety that saw it unite countless Ork factions under its command, and in turn increasing its WAAAGH!, which in turn saw the Orks that followed it evolve to unfathomable levels, attaining genius level intellect that surpassed even some of the greatest minds of the Imperium of Man.

Unbeknownst to most, The Beast was in reality not just a singular Ork, but six.

Powers and Abilities[]

The Beast was universally considered the most powerful Ork of all time. Orks grow stronger and stronger as long as they keep fighting, and it is quite possible The Beast never knew the taste of defeat judging by how strong it would become. Reaching sizes comparable to Primarchs, its physical attributes matched them as well, as The Beast was powerful enough to fight Vulkan, one of the greatest and most powerful heroes in the entire Imperium. One of the most frightening aspects of The Beast however was the sheer scale of its WAAAGH!. It was so potent that it rapidly evolved the Orks that served it, turning the generally dimwitted brutes into an extremely advanced civilization capable of surpassing even the Imperium of Man, with their Mekboys able to design and build an entire battle moon who's technology was unthinkably advanced even to the Adeptus Mechanicus.

With its WAAAGH! marshalling truly countless Orks to its banner, The Beast lead them against The Imperium across the galaxy, an onslaught of Greenskins that had never been witnessed beforehand. It was responsible for nearly breaking mankind and bringing them to the brink of ruination, sending them into a desperate hour so bleak not seen since The Horus Heresy.

Trivia[]

  • It is believed that if The Beast kept growing its WAAAGH!, it would eventually evolve into a Krok, the ancient ancestors of the Ork race and the greatest Orks in history.
