~ The Beast's entry in the journal. |
The Beast is one of the three secondary antagonists in the 2023 action-strategy game Minecraft Legends. They are the ferocious, brutal leader of the Horde of the Hunt. They assisted the Great Hog during the Nether war, sending their Piglins into the Overworld, polluting it and raiding the native villages.
Like other Piglins, they communicate with growls, squeals, and roars. They are is voiced by Kellen Goff, who also voices Fredbear, Funtime/Molten Freddy, and Moon in Five Nights at Freddy's, Kai Chisaki in My Hero Academia, Fiddlesticks in League of Legends, Hans in Konosuba, Diavolo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Rekka Hoshimiya in Fire Force, Zagred in Black Clover, Father Spider Demon in Demon Slayer, and Techno Pirate in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
Personality[]
Like almost all other Piglins, the Beast is the sadistic, cruel, and aggressive commander of the Horde of the Hunt. Compared to the other horde generals, the Beast is the most active, often participating in Hoglin hunts. They will stop at nothing to complete his hunt, even if it means shoving their own Piglins out of the way or ignoring the Seer's requests.
Being the leader of the Horde of the Hunt, the beast often sends their troops on Overworld raids more frequently than the other horde generals. However, this also means that the Beast has the least fortified Piglin outposts, but makes up for larger size and significantly more Piglins than the other hordes.
Appearance[]
The Beast is a Piglin who is almost always mounted on their signature Hoglin. Their dark-brown clothes and headgear have bones attached to them, a defining feature of the Horde of the Hunt. They wield a blunt, heavy bone cudgel, perfect for smashing Hoglins and defences.
In front of the Beast's legs and the mount's snout, they wear a massive Hoglin skull, likely as a mask or shield. A flag depicting the giant skull is attached to the Hoglin's tail.
Biography[]
At the start of the Piglin war, the Great Hogs gathers all of his Horde generals around a map table. He takes the Beast's Horde of the Hunt banner and slams it into the map, ordering an all-out assault on the Overworld. Nodding in agreement, the Beast sends a full mobilization of Piglins into the Nether portal.
A word of a Hero disrupting the invasion and destroying Piglin outposts has caught the Great Hog's attention. He punishes the Beast by choking him in front of the other the Devourer and Unbreakable, who sadistically laugh at them. Throwing the Beast against a pillar, the Great Hog calls upon the Seer, who uses the Orb of Dominance to corrupt a beacon into the Night Beacon, an artifact for eternal night. However, the Hero would destroy the Night Beacon, causing a Piglin to run up to the map table in an attempt to warn the Beast and other leaders. Unfortunately, this would only anger the Great Hog, who started assaulting the Piglin along with the Horde generals. After this ordeal, each of the Horde generals would return to their respective bases.
The Beast gathered up an army of Runts, Seekers, and Pigmadillos to participate in a Hoglin hunt. Their eyes were mainly on the biggest prize of them all, the Ancient Hoglin. A Piglin came out of the Nether portal to seek help from their leader, hoping that they would help defeat the Hero. However, the Beast rejected the Piglin and knocked them away with their cudgel, continuing their hunt as if nothing happened.
Later, the Piglin would get the attention of the Seer, telling them that the Beast was ignoring their requests for help. Meanwhile, the Beast, along with some Pigmadillos, were still busy chasing the Ancient Hoglin and killing it's minions. The Seer creates a massive shockwave to get the Beast's attention. The Seer orders the Beast to go into the Overworld, but they only send a handful of Pigmadillos into the Overworld because they need to continue their hunt. After the Beast and their remaining Pigmadillos leave to continue their pursuit of the Hoglins, the Seer is left unimpressed.
Eventually, the Seer had enough of the Beast. They stood near a Nether portal in the direction at which the Beast was pursuing the Ancient Hoglin. Using magic, the Seer lets the Ancient Hoglin escape while forcing the Beast and his remaining Pigmadillos to go to the Overworld, much to their displeasure.
The Beast rallies up an army of Piglins and charges towards a village, where they engage in their long-awaited battle with the Hero. However, the Beast is defeated during the fight. A Piglin Runt brings their skull mask back to the Nether to inform the Great Hog of the Beast's demise.
