The Benefactor is the main antagonist of The Haunting Hour episode “Checking Hour”.
He is a painting figure who was the original owner of his hotel, in which he brainwashed parents into forgetting their own children and sacrificing them.

The Benefactors' histody and life is completley unknown although what is known is that he was born sometime during 1953
Seventy Years, he was born as a painting figure, The Benefactor is a painting of a grown man who has the ability to make adults forget that they ever had children and after spending some time in the creepy hotel the parents are convinced to give their children to the Benefactor as he takes the children and sends them to the afterlife.

Jeremy and Chelsea convinced their parents that they don't have to give them up to The Benefactor in the afterlife, apologuzing for their kistreatment to them. The parents agreed to keep their children, but Mr. Grady decided to let the Benefactor take them all, but before that can happen, Jeremy took some candles and threw them at the Benefactor causing the hotel and the Benefactor to burn and crash down in flames.
