The Blackguard is a minor antagonist in the Madness: Project Nexus series. He is one of the Nexus Core's G03LMs and the leader of the Tower Guards, a knight order of the Nexus Core whose purpose is to protect the Science Tower, first appearing on the stage "Base Jumping" as the boss in MADNESS: Project Nexus. He is considered the strongest and tallest G03LM among his kind. Similar to most Nexus Core's G03LMs, he wears a bulletproof armor which makes it hard to kill him. Unlike other G03LMs, the Blackguard's helmet can't be taken off by normal means which makes it more difficult. The Blackguard wields the Megaslayer and the Skyscrapper Shield. After his armor get destroyed, he will switch his primary weapon into a minigun, or as he calls it, "The Chopper."
Personality[]
Like the other Tower Guards, the Blackguard talks in Old English. Although, in one of the flashbacks and after three of his Corpus Blocks are destroyed he can be seen talking normally. It seems that he talks normally when not fighting, or near others. When he is leaving the elevator, he says "Alright, lemme get back into character. *ahem* Verily, our destination doth approach before us! Venture forth, mine fellowship!"
Appearance[]
The Blackguards wear a black and red helmet, just like a GO3LM Mk.2 from Madness: Project Nexus (Classic) and a G03LM Mk.3 from MADNESS: Project Nexus and an armored hood covering his head. He also wears a Nexus Core black and red cape, spiky fingerless gloves, red and black bulletproof armor, and a spiky armor on his back which is weirdly only shown at Story Mode.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Blackguard is the strongest and most skilled G03LM; he can jump in the air, swinging his Megaslayer 3 times and slamming down which flung the player, and can charge up to the player and then swing his sword which deals a lot of damage. He rarely uses his shield to attack.
In Story mode, the Blackguard wears a spiky pauldron, making it very hard to take off his helmet. It can be destroyed by a Conduit's Dissonance explosion. After attacking the Blackguard's armor, the player tries to pull his helmet, but ended up getting thrown, this can be done if another player doing the takedown after the previous one has done it, this makes the 2nd player pulls the helmet which reveals an armored hood that can't be pulled at all. To destroy the body armor, the player needs to find a C4 explosive, andafter getting the bomb, they need to attack the Blackguard's armor which allows them to do a takedown. Then the player sticks the C4 on the Blackguard's armor which destroys it, revealing his horrendous looking thin body. This allows the player to attack the Blackguard easier, killing him at all cost.
