The Brickster is the main antagonist of the LEGO Island video game series as well as Soccer Mania.
He is voiced by the late David L. Lander (who also voiced Smartass and Thumper) in LEGO Island, Jack Roberts in LEGO Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge, and John Guerrasio in LEGO Island Xtreme Stunts (who also voiced Vinnie Pappalardo and Sandman in other LEGO projects).
Biography[]
Past[]
The Brickster was the first minifigure created by the Infomaniac but, when the Infomaniac started making more, the Brickster got jealous and stole some of Lego Island's bricks to make his own Ogel Island. He then made it a personal mission to deconstruct Lego Island but, sometime before the events of LEGO Island, the Brickster was imprisoned in the LEGO Island jail.
LEGO Island[]
The Brickster makes a call to the local pizzeria to order one of Papa Brickolini's ultra hot and spicy pizzas, posing as Nick Brick. He uses the pizza to melt the lock to his jail cell and then takes the nearby helicopter before stealing the Power Brick atop the Information Center and the Ambulance. He proceeds to terrorize the island by stealing the buildings and the bricks that make them up so Pepper Roni is out to retrieve the parts for the police helicopter, which the Brickster had hidden throughout the island. Once the helicopter is complete, Pepper captures the Brickster by shooting pizzas at him, distracting the Brickster and allowing him to then be caught by Nick Brick whereupon he is then imprisoned in the new LEGO Island jail.
LEGO Island 2[]
After being in jail for some time, the Brickster begins his long-winded plan to escape where he has many pizzas delivered to him (although he isn't allowed anything with more than one pepper) and saves the peppers. Once he has enough peppers, he eats them all and uses his "Brickster dragon breath" to melt the door of the jail and escape again. Shortly after, he steals the Constructopedia from the Information Center and tears out its pages (destroying the buildings in LEGO Island) and scatters them across the world. He then calls the Brickster Bots from Ogel Island to harass the people of LEGO Island while he escaped back to Ogel. Eventually, Pepper Roni is able to collect all the missing pages of the Constructopedia and journey to Ogel to defeat the Brickster, who has kidnapped Mama and Papa Brickolini so that he can have pizzas whenever he wishes. After a short battle, the Brickster is once again defeated by pizzas thrown by Pepper, but this time is imprisoned in a small tower on Ogel.
Island Xtreme Stunts[]
The Brickster promises to reform in order to be let out of jail and helps Pepper to film the action scenes for his movie, taking the place of the bad guy. After Pepper films the parachuting scene, the Brickster reveals that his involvement in the film was merely a cover for his evil plan: using Brickster Bots to build a tower from which he can deconstruct the world. He kidnaps the Infomaniac, goes to the top of the mountain, and begins dropping objects around the island. After avoiding the obstacles and racing to the top of the mountain, Pepper has to face off against the Brickster who has five lives and three different powers. The first is one where he jumps on the ground, sending out a shockwave, but it makes him vulnerable to being thrown off the edge. The second grants him super speed, where he runs at high speeds toward the center and the last is to call up Brickster bots to push Pepper off the edge. Once defeated, the Brickster is captured and given yet another chance to be free, but he refuses. Once in prison, he finds something and begins to laugh.
Soccer Mania[]
The Brickster returns after the player's team wins won the first few matches where the team is to be awarded with a trophy, but the Brickster appears and steals the trophy, then disappears. The player's team then has to hunt down the Brickster whilst playing football matches along the way. Eventually they discover that he escaped in a Spaceship and as a result has to win more matches in order to unlock a spaceship. The player discovers the Brickster again on Mars and has to play against the Martian team and the Brickster Bot team. The Brickster then assembles a football team of his own to play against the player but, once the Brickster's team is defeated, the Brickster is "safely" locked in the Spaceship hold, after it sets off again from Mars. The Brickster is seen clutching a key at the end.
LEGO Racers 2[]
The Brickster makes a cameo in the opening cutscene where Rocket Racer picks up a paper reporting his race in LEGO Racers, and a picture on the back of the paper shows the Brickster behind bars.
LEGO Adventures[]
In LEGO Adventures! Magazine Issue 3, the Brickster is robbing a bank vault when his robbery is revealed by clumsy construction workers who accidentally knock a hole in the wall of a bank. He rushes away on a motorcycle, only to be caught in a makeshift trap by another group of construction workers.
In LEGO Adventures! Magazine Issue 8, the Brickster, after robbing a bank, is met outside by Highway Patrolman Bill. The Brickster runs away, throwing away part of the money he had stolen to stall Bill. Bill calls Firefighter Jack, and the firefighters race to the Brickster's location and squirt him with a fire hose, stunning him until Bill arrives.
In LEGO Adventures! Magazine Issue 11, the Brickster attempts to a steal a backhoe from Builder Pete. After being foiled, he steals another construction vehicle, this time evading Highway Patrolman Bill and "escaping" into an alley. The alley turns out to be a maze, and The Brickster, trapped, is captured by Bill and Pete.
In LEGO Adventures! Magazine Issue 15, the Brickster hides in a barrel to escape the city butm when the barrel falls off a forklift it is sent rolling and the Brickster cries out, alerting Highway Patrolman Bill to his presence.
