| ~ The Cat in the Hat preparing to destroy Braxton's television. |
The Cat In The Hat is a minor antagonist of the YouTube series, SML, serving as the titular main antagonist of SML Movie: The Cat In The Hat, and its remake.
Like his original counterpart, he is an anthropomorphic cat, wearing a hat, who invited himself into Junior's house to have fun and make a mess.
He was voiced by Chris Netherton, also known as Pablo Sanchez, who also portrays the other characters in the same series.
Appearance[]
The Cat appear exactly the same as his original incarnation. Being a lanky sized cat who wear a top hat, bowtie, and white gloves.
Biography[]
Original[]
When Junior is left home alone by his father, Braxton, the Cat in the Hat suddenly shows up at his door moments later. He explains to Junior that he can only talk in rhymes per some unknown curse, and askes if he could enter his house, which Junior permits. When the two make a sandwich, the Cat requests to Junior to add flour, in order to make the sandwich a little less sour. Junior gives him the flour and the Cat purposefully dumps it everywhere, causing his first mess. As Junior starts to protest at Cat for causing a mess, the Cat attempts to balance a cake on a rake and throw it onto a wall, before taking a bunch of plate and dropping them upon stating on knowing how to juggle.
When the two go to the living room Junior confronts Cat over the mess he made in the kitchen, before the Cat, tennis gear in hand, hits the ball straight into a lamp, damaging it. He then serves another ball that hits Braxton's television, causing it to freeze. When Junior continues his protesting that Cat needs to fix the television before Braxton gets home, Cat whips out a hammer and starts to destroy the TV, claiming that he fixed it. When Junior corrects him that he only made the situation worse, Cat continues his rampage, which causes Junior to call over Cody and Joseph.
Upon Cody finding a loophole on how to defeat the Cat in the Hat, he gives Junior an unrhymable word. Junior then dares Cat to say the word "orange", that causes him to shake violently while screaming gibberish upon attempting to rhyme, before his head implodes on itself, much to the shock of Junior and Joseph. However, as Cody notes that the Cat in the Hat comes back with the D.I.R.T. in the books to clean up the mess, the Cat here won't be able to do that since he's dead, meaning that Junior will have to face Braxton's wrath as a result.
Remake[]
The remake here is entirely the same as the original listed above, however the following differences are listed below:
A new scene was added where the Cat attempts to find his bowling ball, and insists that it must be in one of the house's walls, causing him to bring out a hammer and smash one of them. After finding it, he throws it at Braxton's television, damaging it.
When Junior brings in Cody and Joseph, the latter tells him to say word "orange" first, which he easily rhymes with "doorhinge". Joseph then tells Junior to say the word "purple" instead, which becomes the word to put the Cat in the Hat's antics to an end.
After Braxton and Chef Pee Pee discover the Cat in the Hat's mess, the former calls down Junior, who then explains to the two that burglars broke into the house. Brooklyn Guy is called over, and Junior gives him a description of the Cat in the Hat, before outright telling him that his body is in Braxton's room. Brooklyn Guy then goes to the bedroom to retrieve the Cat's corpse, as Braxton then vows never to leave Junior home alone ever again.
