The Crown Thieves are the main antagonists of the Thomas & Friends episode, "Heart of Gold". They are thieves who try to steal King Godred's crown. They are also the archenemies of Toby and Sir Robert Norramby.
They are voiced by Rob Rackstraw and Ian McCue, who also voiced The Tiger Hunters in the Thomas & Friends episode, "Tiger Trouble". As a bonus, the former voiced Bernie in the 45-minute special, "Marvelous Machinery".
Biography[]
At the beginning of the episode, the Crown Thieves plan to steal King Godred's crown. After finding out that the crown is at Ulfstead Castle, they pretend to be tourists who want to see the crown. As they go into Toby's carriage, two other passengers make fun of him because they think that he's not an engine, and that he belongs in a museum. Not wanting Toby to feel bad, Millie and Glynn tell him to ignore them. Later that night, Toby hears a noise. And then, he sees the Crown Thieves escaping with King Godred's crown. Ringing his bell, Toby alerts Millie, Glynn, and Sir Robert Norramby, and they start to chase after the thieves. When Toby corners them, his driver and fireman grab onto them, so that they can't escape. And then, Sir Robert orders them to give back King Godred's crown. The next day, Toby's passengers (including the ones who insulted him) have heard about his heroic actions.
It's unknown what happened the Crown Thieves after their defeat. However, it's possible that they have been sent to jail for their crimes.
