The Cube Queen is the secondary antagonist of the Fortnite franchise, serving as the overarching antagonist of the first half of Chapter 1 and the main antagonist of the second half of Chapter 2.
She is the supreme ruler of The Last Reality, an interdimensional empire bent on conquering and annihilating all other realms. She commands two armies: the Alien Army, consisting of technologically advanced extraterrestrial invaders, and the Cube Legion, an army born from the mysterious, sentient cubes. Together, these forces are tasked with invading realities, corrupting them, and ultimately eradicating all life within. Her presence in the Fortnite multiverse first became known when she sent a cube—later known as "Kevin the Cube"—to Reality Zero, the central reality where Fortnite: Battle Royale takes place. This cube was delivered via a gigantic rift linking multiple dimensions to Reality Zero. Although Kevin caused chaos, the Cube Queen's plan failed, leaving Reality Zero intact.
Later, she resurfaced after the actions of Glyph Master Raz, who inadvertently helped her pinpoint the coordinates of Reality Zero. This time, she arrived in full force, leading an invasion with her Alien Army and thousands of cubes. Her ultimate goal was to reshape the reality into a corrupted wasteland under her dominion, deploying weapons of mass destruction like the massive Sideways portals and cube-generated monsters. Her defeat required the flipping of Reality Zero itself, an act of desperation that only temporarily thwarted her plans.
She is voiced by Sarah Elmaleh.
Personality[]
She is an egotistical, malevolent entity who revels in destruction and views herself as superior to all other beings. Her inflated sense of self-worth is matched only by her cruelty, as she mocks and belittles those who oppose her. For the Cube Queen, invading and destroying realities is both a means to expand her dominion and a twisted form of entertainment.
Her playful yet sadistic demeanor often leads her to treat invasions as games, laughing and joking as she annihilates entire civilizations. Her penchant for mockery is evident when she interacts with her enemies, belittling them for daring to stand against her overwhelming power. Despite her lighthearted cruelty, her destructive tendencies are not without deeper motives, though the exact reasons behind her crusade against realities remain a mystery.
She shows a more nurturing side toward the Cube Legion, referring to them as her "children" and treating them as extensions of her will. However, this loyalty is conditional. When one of her creations, the Rebooted Cube, betrayed her, she showed no mercy, mocking its destruction at the hands of her army.
Biography[]
The Cube Queen is the current ruler of The Last Reality, succeeding the Cube King (now know as The Origin) who fled after realizing the harm he was doing after destroying thousands of reality.
She was first seen in Operation Skyfire, in the Golden Cube. When the Rebooted Cube saved the Loopers Slone betrayed, she, along with the rebooted cube, and six others fall onto the island (a seventh one was dormant inside Steamy Stacks facilities).
She starts to move and activate the cubes, results have the cubes spawn smaller Cubes, she makes them go to The Aftermath. After all the Cubes gather at The Aftermath she emerged out of the Golden Cube summoning cube monsters called Caretakers, her strongest warriors yet and merged all the Cubes to make them become The Convergence. She went into an invincible sphere above The Convergence in order to use it to harvest a very large amount of energy. The Convergence gradually transforms and more and more complex structures appear and more and more energy accumulates in it. The Convergence eventually becomes The Pyramid, using the Golden Cube at its peak to gather the energy gathered by the other Cubes into one point.
During The End event, The Cube Queen collects all of the accumulated energy and transforms, she subsequently opens a portal to The Last Reality, allowing her army to launch a full on assault on the island. Shortly after the aliens destroy the Rebooted Cube's protective barrier she creates thousands of new Cubes and opens portals leading to the Sideways allowing the Cube Legion to invade as a ground force. In order to prevent any resistance and to quickly end the aliens abduct all the weapons of the loopers and with the Cube Legion destroy the Rebooted Cube leaving the Loopers defenseless, however the few survivors are saved by The Seven. In order to force the gate opened by The Cube Queen to close and to weaken the Imagined Order at the same time, The Seven flipped the Island upside down regaining the advantage over both factions and gaining time before the next confrontations with them. Her status is currently unknown.

- Her main theme is Queen's Anthem.
- In this track, she speaks directly to The Looper (the character played by the player) and mocks them, she also reveals that she knows the fight between IO and The Seven.
- the track is difficult to understand on certain points because she reveals that she manipulated The Looper and that everything was just "a show", however we don't really know to what extent and it's neither confirmed nor invalidated later in the story.
