The Cult are the overarching antagonists of the horror web-series, Vita Carnis.
They are an organization of manipulative and corrupt government officials who seek to use the monstrous Vita Carnis genus to help the world at the cost of many human lives.
Biography[]
After the discovery of the Vita Carnis species, the Cult was formed in the world's governments out of admiration for the species' mysterious properties. Using their connections, the Cult has allowed the Vita Carnis to run rampant across the Earth in return for assistance in helping the planet.
At some point, a documentary was made that provided more information about the species (including the exclusive Singularity), causing the Cult to forcibly take it down.
After this, multiple people have begun interfering with the Cult's activities, including the arrival of the resistance group, C.A.R.C.A.S. (Containment And Research Consult Association Society), who invade a ritual in Hudson Bay. The ritual was disrupted, with many members were exposed and arrested, including the leader, Simon Vanguard.
Following the Operation, the cult's influence over the government was exposed, Nutrire Co. was shut down, and the seven Singularities are captured by C.A.R.C.A.S. for research.
In a secret video of Simon Vanguard's interrogation, whose revealed to have mutilated his face for the Vita Carnis. When questioned further about the Vita Carnis, Vanguard tries to break out of his leg restraints while screaming about his pledge to the Carnis, forcing the interrogator to call for security.
