The Danger Club are the main protagonists/antagonists of the book from Tales to Give You Goosebumps and its TV episode, "The House of No Return".
In the episode, Robbie is played by Jeff Davis, Lori by Lauren Annis and Nathan by Robin Weekes.
Personality[]
These are three arrogant teenagers who declare themselves lovers of danger, hence the name of their club. However, they are hypocritical and cowardly because in reality they have not achieved any dangerous challenge including that of staying one hour in the House of No Return. Their fear is very visible when they are around this house or when they visit it to look for Chris Wakely. They do however seem to have a sympathetic side shown with Chris whom they really want to integrate into their club.

They are proud children of daring and ready to take on any risky challenge. When they meet Chris, the trio immediately want to integrate him into their group and explain the challenge to him to stay in the No Return House known to be haunted. Chris refuses, saying he's not that brave, but the three, desperate, trick him on Halloween night by forcing him to stay in the house.
The hour passed, Chris does not leave the house and the Danger Club unwillingly enter in, in search of him. Instead, they're cornered by the Ghost Couple who locked them up. Ghosts explain that Chris left after saying three children would take his place. With that, the couple say the Danger Club will stay in the house forever.
TV Episode[]
The storyline of the episode is pretty much the same as the one in the book. Robbie, Lori, and Nathan first appear watching the clock after locking Doug in the House of No Return. The latter runs away scared, saying that someone touched his face, which the trio laugh at. In the rest of the episode, the three teens see Chris Wakely and approach him by introducing themselves and offering to join their club. But for that, he must stay 1 hour in the No Return House and the trio explains the past of the building and its occupants to Chris. Not convinced, the boy gently refuses and leaves to the displeasure of the three.
At a meeting in the evening, they criticize Chris and desperately call him pretending to want to go to the mall. Passing by the haunted house, the three grabs Chris and drag him to the house where they lock him up despite asking to get out. Lori sympathizes and says they shouldn't do this, but Robbie refuses and continues to block the door with Nathan.
After an hour, Lori screams sarcastically that she wanted to check that the other two were still awake. While looking for Chris, the three have to break down the door to enter and notice that it has been barricaded. Worried, they look everywhere for Chris but can not find him anywhere and notice that the door has been barricaded again behind their backs. They are then approached by the Ghost Couple who welcome them to the House of No Return. Then the pair of ghosts explain that Chris is in fact gone and that he made a deal in which the Danger Club would take his place among them. Refusing to let them go too, the Ghost Couple approach Robbie, Lori and Nathan saying that they will love them forever.
Trivia[]
- While this is neither proven in the book nor in the episode, it is strongly implied that the Danger Club was killed by the Ghost Couple in order for them to be part of the family the ghosts longed for.
