The Doise is a major antagonist in the 2023 indie game Pizza Tower. Making his official debut as the secondary antagonist of the Playable Noise Update, the Doise is a doppelgänger of the Noise who usurps his position as the game’s third boss when playing as him.

Appearance

Befitting his status as the Noise’s copy, the Doise’s appearance is nearly identical to his, with only slight chances in coloration. He has chocolate brown skin and dons a blue costume with a light purple cape. Like the Noise, he wears white gloves and has two comically large strings of facial hair.

Biography

Original Debut

The Doise and Peddito, first appeared in a YouTube video titled "Meet Peddito and The Doise" by Robby1scool , the creator of both fan-made characters. Peddito, along with The Doise, is technically the first and only Pizza Tower original characters that got in the game that is not a Pizzasona.

Pizza Tower

At some point in time, the Doise was taken under Pizzahead’s wing and was tasked to kill the Noise, similarly to how the Noise was ordered to face Peppino.

When the Noise enters his boss gate, he is transported into a surreal purple environment with large creatures known as “Doiseys” in the background. It is here where he is challenged by the Doise, who much like the other bosses, is treated with apathy from the Noise’s end, though the Noise is confused at the Doise’s existence. After the battle, a boulder falls on Noise's head, prompting the Doise to laugh in victory, only to be dragged away by Peddito (a color swap duplicate of Peppino) and killed off-screen.

In the final fight against Pizzahead, the Doise, like the other bosses, is brought back in the third phase; however, he's but a lifeless bloodied corpse and thus his segment only lasts a few seconds before transitioning to Fake Peppino. If you return to the boss gate in which you fight him, it will similarly show his corpse and nothing else, granting you the easiest P-rank in the game. In order to fight him again properly you need to taunt the boss gate three times to revive him.

As the entirety of the Noise's run is revealed to be a movie filmed by him, it's unknown if the Doise is actually a real person or if he actually survived, seeing as unlike the rest of the bosses who were paid to act in the Noise's movie, the Doise or his actor are nowhere to be seen in the post-credits art.

The Doise lying dead on the floor after being killed by Peddito. This sprite is also used in Don’t Make a Sound when dying to an animatronic (in The Noise’s colours), as this is the replacement for Peshino. It is also used to replace the Noise during the Halloween event when you play as the Noise.

Trivia

• He is the only boss in the game to have been canonically killed during the boss fight, though he can be revived by taunting in front of the boss gate three times.
• Before being added to the game, the Doise and Peddito were OCs created by YouTuber Robby1sCool.
  • 'McPig, the main developer of Pizza Tower, had saw a video Robby made of them and thought it was funny, resulting in the two becoming an inside joke in the Pizza Tower Discord server.
  • Additionally, both the Doise and Peddito made cameo appearances in the level “Pizzascare” as disembodied heads prior to their official debut in Noise’s update.
  • Robby1sCool made a YouTube community post revealing that the Pizza Tower boss "The Doise" and his OC are different characters, with Robby's original rendition sporting a single blue glowing eye and a repulsed reaction to the other Doise. This post seems to have since been deleted.
• It's been speculated that the Doise is a business rival and impersonator of the Noise, hence why the Noise invited him on set so he could finally get rid of him.
• For some reason, the Doise is consistently depicted with different eye colours, ranging from blue to magenta to brown, sometimes even having heterochromia.
