~ The Dooka forbidding his son Looka to meet E.B. after Looka tells him about her allegiance with the Zooks.

The Dooka of Yookia is one of the two main antagonists (the other being The Dookess of Zookia) of the second and final season of Netflix's Green Eggs and Ham. He is the ruler over the nation of Yookia in the country of East Flubria and leads his citizens in battle against the people of Zookia who are having a war regarding how they each have a different way of putting butter on their toast.

He was voiced by actor Héctor Elizondo, who also portrayed Mr. Grey in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three and Wan Shi Tong in Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Personality[]

The Dooka has a very stubborn and hot-headed personality, often lashing out when things do not go according to plan, in contrast to the Dookess of Zookia, who is more level-headed. He is also very dedicated to the war between his nation of Yookia and the rival nation Zookia, since the conflict has been going on for a substantial amount of time. However, despite his negative traits, he very much loves his son Looka as when E.B. frees him from imprisonment, he thanks her, though this isn't enough for him to call off the conflict between the nations as he was still willing to destroy Zookia because he would not do so if he knew his son was imprisoned in Zookia.

Biography[]

Green Eggs and Ham: The Second Serving[]

The Dooka is first seen in the first episode of the second season "The Mom Identity" during a newsreel where he blames the theft of a dangerous artifact called the Moo-Laka-Moo on the Zooks. It is revealed that the war between the Yooks and Zooks is about how they put butter on their toast (for the Yooks, butter-side-up and for the Zooks, butter-side-down).

He next appears in "To Yookia With Love", where his son Looka tries to get his attention and ask him about the conflict, but he is busy with constant phone calls. When the Dooka finally gets a minute to speak with him, Looka bails since he finds out that his new friend/crush, E.B., is from Zookia.

His remaining appearances throughout the rest of season 2 are more relevant to the plot. When Looka tells him about E.B. and how they both find the war pointless, the Dooka is rather taken aback about his son's dissention and forbids him from seeing E.B. again, believing her to have "poisoned his mind" with Zookia hearsay. When Pam-I-Am (the mother of Sam-I-Am) delivers the Moo-Laka-Moo to the Dooka, he awards her and Sam with medals. He later has the strong source of energy placed in a missile that he plans to destroy Zookia with.

Looka soon returns with E.B. after the Zooks imprisoned him when he tried to meet her again but was released by E.B. and her step-father Guy-Am-I (who began working as an inventor for the Zooks), hoping that he would call a truce. However, while he is grateful for his son's return, he continues on with the plan to launch the missile. In the finale, when Sam (who was trying to stop the missile) accidentally causes the Moo-Laka-Moo to be placed in the missile, the Dooka activates the launch just as the Dookess of Zookia launches another missile that Guy created. It soon culminates in the missiles crashing into each other but thanks to some Goo-Laka-Goo Pam had, it prevents the explosion from destroying both nations with the only casualty being that the wall that divides them gets destroyed.

Soon, when Looka and E.B. try to show the citizens of the nations that they aren't so different by putting two pieces of toast with butter on either side together. At first, the Dooka and Dookess refuse to accept this, but after some prompting from Looka and E.B., they eat it and after liking the taste, they call a truce and the war between both sides finally ends.
