The Drake is a minor antagonist in Choushinsei Flashman. He was a Beast Warrior monster at the service of Reconstructive Experiment Empire Mess and under the command of the Great Emperor Lah Deus and his generals. Drake was used by Mess to brainwash Leh Baraki, the Mess general who had betrayed Mess before far too many times and joined the Flashmen.

History

A grotesque bigfoot-like Beast Warrior with eyes beneath it's mouth. It's main ability is the creation of strings from it's fingers which allows for it to control anyone wrapped around them like a puppet, with the Beast Warrior as the puppeteer. He was led by Sir Cowler and sent by Lah Deus and Lie Keflen to take care of Baraki, the general of the Mess who betrayed Mess and joined the Flashmen.

After Leh Baraki had betrayed Mess by gaining perspective from the Flashian hero to rebel against his former masters' methods, he was eventually captured. Although he refused to work for them and then the Drake was used to control Baraki through the Beast's fingers. Furthermore Mess sends him on a death run as a cruel punishment before he could only begin to warn the Flashman on their impending doom due to the condition of being on Earth. Jin was crushed to see such a honorable warrior be manipulated like that so when the Drake killed him, the hero promptly attacked and defeated the beast.

Personality

Drae lacks individual personality and is nothing other than a mindless barbaric beast at the service of the Mess Empire. However, while he never talks and only spoke in roars and grunts, he was shown to be quite violent and ruthless and manipulated Baraki into fighting the Flashmen, albeit he himself didn't show any pleasure or amusement from doing this. Also, Drake showed some degree of loyalty to his masters, Mess generals, especially Cowler and loyally followed their orders, albeit it should be noted that it's more than likely he wasn't genuinely loyal to them but was just programmed to serve the Mess.

Powers and Abilities

• Superhuman Strength: He is highly strong, being able to take on several Flashman, albeit not strong enough to best them all in battle.
• Superhuman Durability: He was also highly durable and able to survive multiple hits from Flashman's arsenal.
• Puppet Control: Drake's main ability. He could control the bodies of the living beings by wrapping his strings around their bodies and controlling them with his fingers.
