The Father is the main antagonist and the final boss of the 2007 2D platform indie game I Wanna Be The Guy. He was the Guy (the position of power), until his demise by his own son. The Father kills his own father, The Former Grandfather The Guy, to become the new Guy.
Biography
When The Kid meets The Father, Kid shouts at him and thought it is a monster, instead of human. Later, The Father recognizes his son and reveals it to the Kid, later taunts him and they began to fight.
In phase one, The Father attacks his son via his weapon and grenades. He jumps continously to avoid the Kid's bullets. If the Kid is on the ground, the Father will begin running back and forth across the room. And when he gets defeated, he will jumps and fall through the window.
In phase two, The Father is in the giant form, but only his head is displayed. His eyes are the weak points. He attacks the Kid with projecting fireballs and energy balls through his eyes, projecting spikes through his mouth. When the Kid destroys his eyes three times, the Father will be defeated and die.
Appearance
The Father is similar the Kid, the protagonist of the game. He wears a purple shirt, blue pants, black shoes, a red torn cape. There is a cigarette in his mouth and he has a stern expression.
Powers and Abilities
With his position (The Guy), The Father has various powers and abilities:
First Phase:
- Weapon proficiency: The Father's primary weapon is a pistol, he shoots giant and powerful bullets with it.
- Grenade proficiency: The Father uses grenades and erupts fire with them.
- Enhanced strength: When The Father bumps the brick ground or wall, it will break.
- Nigh-bulletproof durability: The Father is immune to the Kid's bullets.
- Peak speed: The Father runs faster than a human across the room.
- Peak agility: The Father can move fastly than the others.
- Peak leaping: The Father jumps higher than the Kid and the others.
Second Phase:
- Superhuman strength: The Father gets more strength with his gigantic size.
- Pyrokinesis: The Father shoots fireballs through his eyes.
- Energy ball projection: The Father shoots energy balls through his eyes.
- Spike projection: The Father shoots spikes through his mouth.
Trivia
- The battle with the Father can be skipped by pressing and holding the E, N, and D keys.
