Fuxi and Nuwa Feng are major antagonists in Red Candle Games' 2024 Metroidvania video game Nine Sols.

Biography

Past

Fuxi and Nuwa were inseparable sibling best friends in their youth, and eventually joined Eigong's council together as Sols. After Yi's presumed death, Fuxi became seriously ill with the Tianhuo disease, similarly to Yanlao. Eigong gave them a "cure" that was supposed to help Fuxi recover, and while it did initially, it eventually transmutated Fuxi into a monster, though Nuwa chose to stay unaware so that she could still live under the delusion that her brother was still perfectly healthy.

Present

In their fight against Yi, the vengeful Solarian does irreparable damage to Fuxi that Nuwa is unable to heal, causing her to scream and run over to her brother in fear, no longer able to stay in her perfect delusion where everything is fine. As she promises her brother's corpse that they will continue going to the theatre together, it explodes into spikes of the Tianhuo disease, piercing Nuwa's heart. She briefly reacts, surprised, before passing away, never letting go of her brother's body.
