The Ferryman is a minor antagonist from the Roblox game Deepwoken.
The Ferryman is an enigmatic entity that exists on an island named Boatman's Watch in the Void Sea. A member of a mysterious species called the Krulians and a figure of legend, stories say that those who perform the ritual to summon him will be granted gifts. In reality, he will only grant rewards to those strong enough to fight him, leading to the deaths of many of those who sought him out.
He is voiced by YouTuber Demstormz, who also voiced Chaser in the same game.

Past[]
Little is known of The Ferryman's origin. However, he is alluded to having a poor upbringing. According to the drunk Capra, Yamaketzal, he was 'dredged up from the dregs of the dregs' and was tormented by 'mortal spirits.' As a result, he began doing the same to them, playing cruel games with those who summoned him. The summoning ritual itself was some form of attempt to control him, weakening him and 'walking him like a dog.' Despite this, he still remained highly lethal.
Dancing with The Ferryman[]
As time went on, more and more people came seeking out The Ferryman, lighting four campfires in the courtyard to summon him. Upon introducing himself, he proposed a wager, in which he would bet 'an artifact' and they would bet their life. After agreeing, he used his abilities to fight those who summoned him. The ones who could not win were killed, including an Etrean named Petris, and those who won were rewarded, either with information on The Ferryman's species, his blade or his attire. After completing the transaction, he would teleport away.
