The Flushed Pets are the main antagonists of Illumination's 6th full length feature film, The Secret Life of Pets, the first installment of the franchise of the same name.
They are a large army of abandoned pets led by Snowball who want revenge against the humans and their domesticated pets. This group consists of about 569 pets.
History[]
According to Snowball, the Flushed Pets is like a club, but with biting and scratching. They live in an underground lair locates in the sewers of New York City, where more animals that are unlikely to be pets are also residents and are presumably the members of the gang. However, they don't have a known specific plan to take revenge on all of the pets and humans. Instead, they appear more when they want to rescue members or get their revenge on the people who hurt their members. To be a recognized member of the Flushed Pets, one needs to be bitten by a sacred and half-blinded Viper that lives in a metal pipe in normal times. However, it remains unclear if any of known members have been bitten by Viper.
For unknown reasons, Ripper, one of the main helpers of Snowball, was caught by the Animal Control Officers. So, Snowball goes to save him by hijacking the truck that Ripper is on with Tattoo and Dragon. They also bring Max and Duke after they are convinced that the two dogs aren't pets. But Snowball soon finds out that Max and Duke are domesticated after being informed by Ozone's Alley Cats. And then, he orders his minions to catch them. Unfortunately, it causes the death of Viper. The Flushed Pets rush to catch them, but Max and Duke escape. Because of this, Snowball goes back and makes a plan to catch these two dogs in Brooklyn. In the process, they almost catch Max's neighbors, who are led by Pops in search of signs of Max. Nevertheless, Derick catches Norman after noticing that he weaves out from a pipe.
Even though Snowball finds Max in Brooklyn, Tattoo, and Dragon are caught by the Animal Control Officers. Because of this, Snowball and Max drives a bus to chase the truck. But then, Snowball passes out when the bus and the truck crash on the Brooklyn Bridge. And when Derick sees Max, he thinks that he's going to eat Snowball. And then, every animal of the Flushed Pets swarm from nowhere, which horrifies many of the pedestrians. When they are about to attack, Gidget joins the combat, and saves Max from being attacked. However, the truck, along with Max and Duke, falls into the river. So, Snowball dives into the river, and finds the floating key to Duke's cage. The successful rescue makes all of the animals on the bridge start roaring with cheers. And then, Tattoo finds a taxi, and brings the animals back to Manhattan.
Snowball intends to resume the mission, but he ends up getting adopted by a girl called Molly while his other members hide in the sewer. It can be assumed that the Flushed Pets stop their revenge plan because they later attend a dance party held in Leonard's apartment. It can also be assumed that they're searching a new leader before they can strike again.

Trivia[]
- It's unknown if they fully redeemed themselves since Snowball redeemed himself. However, given that they were all absent in The Secret Life of Pets 2 except for Snowball, it's safe to say that they may still be living on the sewers, or that they have officially disbanded.
- Almost every member of the Flushed Pets is unnamed.
- Ozone is the only member who doesn't interact with Snowball.
